P21w is the bulb which is a 7506 bulb if you go to any Autoparts place, 7506na if u need the amber bulb. Look up a connector for a 7506 bulb that might fit your headlight.

Great video, Sarah. You're wiring skills are very impressive. Just so you know, the reason Ford used the same plugs as Audi is because they are European market plugs and are known as Deustch (sp.) connectors. They are Europe's answer to GMs Weatherpac connectors. Keep up the great work.

Sarah, I almost forgot. Those little bolts you showed us are called button head cap screws. They're the perfect fastener for your application. And the riv-nuts are the perfect way to secure them to the body of the car too.

Using the button head Allen screws to mount the skid plates will look good until you need tp remove them again when the socket is full of hardened mud and crap, personally I'd go with flange bolts, or a conventional bolt with a washer or even a captive washer HTH

The 4x4 hasn't been done so much but the driveshaft down the middle has. There are numerous Foci out there with anything from an old 302 V8 to a supercharged Mustang Cobra motor and RWD. Some solid rear axles and others with Mustang Cobra IRS. Ford Performance re-sold a kit/parts for the conversion plus I believe there were others out there. They come up for sale every now and then. Also, much rarer, is the one or two mid motor/RWD Foci. There was a company (in Florida, I believe) that was working on moving the Zetec to the back seat area. I know one of their prototypes had the Jackson Racing supercharger on it. Unfortunately they never went into mass production as far as I know.

Run the break and fuel lines inside the car Sarah, it will save you a Whole lot of trouble later on. As in both lines will be damaged from impacts, the skid plates will only protect the Stronger under carriage. Or else run them on the bottom of the floor along the chassis legs. Best of luck 😁 ( I own 2 Rally cars and involved in Rallying for 25 years )

In the 90's Ford and VW had a cooperation going on. They built the Galaxy and Sharan together. Above that they developed similar electronical components. Thats why you can find the same blinker housing on a 2000's Fiesta and Polo :) So that should explain why the plug on the Focus is an Audi/VW part

Back in the 1980's to rally prep our cars plastic wasn't an option.Brake lines would be run through the interior of the car and fuel tank relocated to the inside(smaller and behind a fire wall).Skid plates were only used to protect the engine and sump.Great video,keep it up.

In the RC rock Crawler world we use metal for everything like rock rails because the plastic is softer and grabs the rocks. Keep in mind that those are lightweight cars. It should function the same, metal being better, but the plastic will be cheaper and simple to replace down the road if need be. If i were to do it, id use plastic like you did, but id focus on a rigid plastic not like nylon. Dig the video, and i dig what youre doing to it.
@JChurchua

In the VW world there are acouple aftermarket skidplates that are aluminum, "paner plate and full metal jacket" and the "Evolution skid plate" you could check them out for inspiration. Id go aluminum if possible. Even painted steel will eventually rust and try to share the rust with the rest of the car.
