@Aurelian603 Yeah exactly. Anglos always take the word "blonde" on Roman documents too literally. It still is like that in Italy to this day.
@calzabbath

Anglo culture has dominated the last 100 years in the West and they have taken their own perceptions of complexion to past societies, but I guess all cultures have that tendency. I'm Argentine so I can pass for a Central European like most people here, but I have noticed in my travels how people from different ethnicities have their own notions when it comes to colour definitions. For my Southeast Asian colleagues I could have been English of French while for the Nordic ones I was definitely Mediterranean. Regarding the video, I think the portrayals are very accurate: a few slightly Germanic traits in the last stages, but the rest mostly and definitely Italic / Celtic in the broad sense of the term.

This is an artistic rendition from the statues and busts we have that certainly aren't 190% accurate.
Great work. I hope you continue to make the whole Roman Emperor's line, up to the last, Constantine XI Palaiologos -1453.

Look up several sites regarding Maximinius Thrax - Thrax was from all indications from the region that would later become Bulgaria, or very near to that. He was far and away the most physically imposing of the Emperors, as he was described by the Roman Army officials who found him in his relative young adulthood at a height they stated was about 8 feet six inches tall, and of normal but muscular and of might proportions and immense strength. His thumb was as big around as his wife's wrist, and he wore her bracelet on his thumb like a ring. The Romans tested him on the spot as described in some of the descriptions referenced that one can look up. He went from being a Shephard to being a warrior as the Romans trained him completely in their styles of warfare and he was considered un-defeatable. Thrax was a pituitary Giant but was not frail and spindly and suffered no physical frailties at all from his condition. He much later in life was elevated to Emperor likely by the Roman Army. He was in his mid-60's and in his massive oversize bed sleeping when members of the Imperial Guard killed him.
