The Wild West has been the setting for countless stories, movies and games, for young and old. But what happens when the true history is lost in myth, and claimed by a completely different culture? We'll be taking a look at Germany's strange relationship with tales from the American Frontier, and the Native Americans in particular. In this, part one of two, we examine the origins of German Westerns, and how they inspired one of history's most notorious rulers.
