In Munich, mechatronik has the 964 version of this car for sale right now. Porsche 964 speedster RUF RCT. Both cars in the same collection would be nice. ^____^

There is no comparison to driving a fully manual 5 or 6 speed, you are actually driving the machine (both hands and both feet are required.)

My friend had what I thought was a 1985 speedster with a 1989 turbo motor in it modified to about 500hp. I'm trying to find it online or something similar. I'm thinking it might not have been a real speedster. It was a widebody. Anyway, I remember when he had his bodywork guy take out as much sound insulation and other superfluous weight. And it was crazy. I think on the scales the car was under 2,500 and it had obviously a turbo motor, bigger brakes, wheels, and a full roll cage.

I always enjoy your videos Colleen, but Porsche is pronounced with 2 syllables. It is the name of the company founder, Dr. Ferdinand Porsche, just as Ferrari is named after its founder. Keep up the cool videos!

You don't have to add flares to an 89 speedster thay came with it from the factory and that front end is a aftermarket C2 front end.

Can you help me. I'm trying to figure out what an old friend of mind had i lost touch with. It was for sure a black, widebody, convertible with the speedster humps. As i recall he said it was a 1985 car with a 1989 heavily tuned turbo engine in it. I got some laps in it on a couple track days and it was absolutely turbo and incredibly fast. It has a full roll cage so he could do track days in it. He actually took it to Germany and i saw video of it going about 197mph if you extrapolated with the rpm because the 160mph speedo was buried. Were there no speedsters in 1985? Could it have been a 1989 body and engine? The engine I'm positive about and the 1985 chassis I'm like 95% sure. Thanks.

An OEM Speedster made to look like a copy? I don't understand why owners think they can "modify" these cars. This car now looks like a kit car, or a retrofitted base 911 that does a (poor) impersonation of a real Speedster. Ugh.
