I have the exact same type of cancer as Hazel has. Its awfull, i cant do things others can. I'm in a support group and i had never heard of the book nor the movie, someone told me to watch it, i did and it changed my life. I have 3 wishes to, its a foundation here in Sweden. Used one to get me and my family to meet John Green and to meet the actress who played Hazel. It was amazing. Hopefully I can find love to, before my time on earth is counted.

This is easily one of my top three favorite books, and I was super excited for the movie...BUT...this trailer reminds me that while John green's writing is fantastic, no one actually talks like that in real life. Has anyone ever actually said "I know that love is just a shout into the void and oblivion is inevitable"? While that was really touching and heartwarming to read, I just don't know how well that will translate into believable on screen dialogue. And I say this as someone who is a huge John Green fan who has devoured all of his books.

@Himanshu Mishra it is a new romantic. And I can't really compare between the two movies because both of them have totally different plots. It depends on person to person how emotional it is for them . Personally I think fault in our stars is more emotional and romantic because it is relatable. Titanic was a tragedy happened years ago and will happen only once. Fault in our stars can happen to many people.

Fault in Our Stars is 10 years old! Made$307 million worldwide on a $12 million budget One of the best movies of 2014 I'm not gonna lie i did wipe my eyes from tears a few times The two leads by Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort have such incredible personalities and sell their relationship I absolutely loved the parents in this played by both Laura Dern and Sam Trammell, heck I wish they were in the movie more because they're so lovable The soundtrack is also very cool and when they go to Germany it's very uplifting The look of the film is also very crisp and clear Life doesn't have to be perfect for love to be extraordinary, it doesn't matter if you're loved by all only one person is enough, pain demands to be felt, cancer is one thing but two people falling for each other is so much stronger Director Josh Boone and the cast make for a very heartfelt, heartbreaking, and effective love story that makes itself stand out from the typical films most viewers know And it isn't made to manipulate or exploit its subject matter

The goal is not to be able to see that Caleb and Tris are the same people as Gus and Hazel. Even though, in a literal sense, they are the same actors. The characters are very different. They have different backgrounds. They have different views. They have different beliefs and thoughts. Gus and Hazel are not Caleb and Tris. So many people think it's weird. In my opinion, they did such a great job with this movie, that you can't tell, and hopefully don't care that Ansel and Shailene played opposite characters in another movie.

This book is actually my life its so scary. Im a cancer survivor, and I met my boyfriend when he was diagnosed with cancer, he actually had a bone cancer just like Augustus. We fell in love and were so happy and perfect with each other, and never had a fight once. Sadly though, our story had the same ending and he (if you didnt read the book heres a spoiler) And my boyfriend died in November like Augustus. I read the book three months before we were dating, when me and him were just friends but we obviously liked eachother, and before my boyfriends cancer came back, like Augustus. Once my boyfriends cancer came back, my life turned into this book pretty much. Its kinda scary but cool
