Then, after who knows how much time, my atoms would land on a planet sutable for life. I won't have any memories of what happened before, but I know at least logically speaking, the camera will eventually turn back on, and for me it will fill like no time passed! @@KimJiHoonnumber4269 🫵fellow brainrotter As for a proper take, I do believe that absurdism is the best philosophical explanation for everything, or at the very least an inspiring resignation to one's own limitations, as the very divide between inexistence and existence is unexplainable and quite honestly absurd. Hence, everything else derived from it has to a degree or more absurd baked into it. Sure, we may be able to quantify the absurd to an extent, but the very action itself is done through inherently absurd means within the context, and is then rendered absurd. Everything is absurd....and therefore nothing is. It's a comforting thought, that there's no true right or wrong, and that whatever exists and happens is at the simple whims of universal entropy, because then everything one does becomes part of the whole...part of the "scenery". You, too, are absurd, so be proud of it, continue your impossible dream-- do not give up your pursuit to find out if there's something more to all this. Take comfort in discrepancy and duality, for its kinship will make the world your dearest friend.

This makes me think of Octopath traveler 2, and having said that: Major spoiler warning for Octopath Traveler 2. What this makes me think of is the plan of a character named Oboro. Growing up he's seen the evils of humanity and the hatred it holds, and as such he comes up with a plan to plunge the entire world into darkness. His reasoning is that if the world is plunged into darkness, no one will able to hurt anyone ever again. I bring this all up because I don't fully understand what his plan is. The external darkness shown in game is an eternal night where the dawn will never come to pass, and that wouldn't prevent the people from, hurting each other. But; having said that, this eternal night only occurs after the seals on Vidania are released and before Vide is fully revived, which implies that the eternal darkness Oboro is searching for could be something else. All these facts and the topic of this video makes me wonder if the eternal darkness that video brings is truly nothingness. Technically speaking Vide's power is that over shadow, and shadows are caused by the absence of light. Darkness is of course also the absence of light, so it could be that Vide's goal is the erasure of existence itself since an eternal night is caused by a fraction of Vide's full power. This would also allow for Oboro's plan to make more sense. The darkness he was searching for could be the absence of existence, and if nothing were to exist then humanity would no longer be able to commit acts of evil. Helping with this theory, Vide's name translates to "Void" in French. I don't think I need to explain that there. It does also translate to "See" in Latin, but that doesn't have anything to do with what I'm talking about right now, atleast not at an immediate glance. Considering how in depth everything I've talked about so far is, Vide being "See" in Latin 100% means something though, I'm just not really sure what. Also, don't even get me started on "Those who deny the dawn", the game's final boss theme, there is so much in depth meaning in there and this comment would be twice as long if I were to rant about that.

One thing I am surprised wasn't in this videos reading of non-existence is that not all people fear it, and some even find comfort in non-existence. While it may be a hefty topic it's something that's such a big part of the story of both bojack and circle bedboy. It's an enticing calm to the worst of this world, and some see it as a solution to the problem. So even at the high point where you fear it or the low point where you hope for it, you always have to remind yourself that your life exists in others. What you are and what you were will always be how you treated those around you. That is just my reading of the song and show anyway, big dad better address this big issue/s

Struggles, victories, pain, anything you see - it's still SOMETHING. Dying is a terrifying concept, if you assume you turn into nothing, which is why we ae urged to LIVE. The other topic of the video is about how life has its ups and downs (Dundundun duun duuun). How it can't end in a happy or a sad end, because it simply continues. If it were to END, there would be nothing. Because of that, we have to live in present and face it. Appreciate the moments of calm and manage through the bad!

I used to be like that too. Here's two things that might make it better: First off, we don't know for sure what happens to consciousness after death, or even what consciousness IS. There have been some interesting experiments involving Near-Death Expereinces, but nothing concrete. Secondly, after death your atoms and energy will remain part of the universe, just like they were before you were born. The fact that you exist right now proves that you CAN exist. Death won't prevent you from existing again. Basically, Reincarnation is actually surprisingly compatable with a purely Materialist universe.

Bojack Horseman is obviously accurate, but the way The Circle 7:35 is set up here seems to be false. It could slot in with atheist, Christian, or agnostic perspective, and the latter two make far more sense to me within the context of the song; the game actually disproves the perspective that Bedman just woke up Delilah and gave the Bed orders. The way the lines are set up, it could either be Bedman not comprehending existence, or realising that his consciousness will remain for all eternity(Time being the thing that gives life meaning). The Circle could be the circle of life or circles of hell, but it could also mean Samsara, or most likely just the afterlife itself. That last one makes the most sense if he is ‘on the border of the circle’ until he ‘struggled to go outside the circle’ in the last chorus, that same line absolutely proving that Bedman left the Circle that is the afterlife, putting his consciousness into the Bed in his last moments. Hell, the game even alludes to his consciousness being in the bed multiple times, with it having organic teeth and Delilah’s description says it’s where she ‘senses her brother’, the Bed having its own description also kinda proves this, as well as all the other stuff in the DLC story. It also goes infinitely harder if you envision the bridge as him rejecting god, rejecting the afterlife, just so he ‘can give someone something’ in the form of being there as the bed for Delilah. Again, this isn’t his theme while dying, it’s his theme when he’s dead. ‘World I left and can’t reach’ sounds a ton more like a dead man than a dying one. In conclusion nuh uh, also what the fuck did I just type why is the Guilty Gear lore like this

I live in this exact state of mind and find solace in this truth We don't know what's on the other size, we have no logical/ philosophical reason to expect more, but we also lack the same explanation for why an expanse of nothingness became the universe Whatever is on the other side, we don't know what it is, we can't, so instead of slamming your head against this door until it's open, instead simply wait patiently until it's time. Then, we can find out the final truth.

I actually want to discuss more in regards to Bedman's theme and its underlying symbolism. There's an intrinsic misunderstanding given in this video that 'The Circle' refers to the circles of Hell. While I agree that it could, and I certainly agree on the prospect of the circle of life, I believe what may have been more intended by the symbolism of the theme is actually the cycle (circle) of Samsara. A Buddhist concept of infinite reincarnation until one achieves the state of the Buddha, Dharma. It is referenced constantly in Guilty Gear (Potemkin being implied to be the Bodhisattva in his theme, Baiken's including the Heart Sutra in Japanese, as well as multiple references of Karma). I believe in this song, there is an emptiness, a "non-existence" achieved by Bedman, but not because he is simply dead, but because he has achieved enlightenment. The Heart Sutra is considered to be a core doctrine of Buddhism and is, as such, referencing the state of enlightenment: "Form is void, void is form." It refers to an emptiness. And yet, Buddhism also refers to infinite compassion. To become emptiness is to become compassion, on some levels, and therefore, Bedman's wish to spend his dying days with his sister, hanging on to his final threads of life, and giving his immortal soul to that purpose could be considered the most compassionate of all acts. I think your reading is also excellent, and it's not to discredit it, but I think it should also go hand in hand with the Buddhist philosophies surrounding Guilty Gear's narrative, and should be discussed more!

Meanwhile, the GOAT CapnBooker not only reuploads their lyric videos as many times as needed to match official lyrics or at least be as accurate as possible, even contacting Naoki at times for clarification, they also made lyric videos for many songs CloudDrop has yet to cover. So, whomeverethst might be reading this comment; when you go check out CloudDrop, don't forget to check out CapnBooker as well.

The way I see it, the fact that I exist right now proves that I'm something that CAN exist. Death won't change that. Maybe one day the atoms and energy that somehow add up to my consciousness will come back together, and I will live again as something else. It's already happend at least once. Basically, reincarnation is surprisingly compatible with a purely Materialistic universe. Of course, we haven't completely ruled out the existence of something akin to a soul, since we still don't really know what consciousness actually is. There have been some interesting experiments involving Near-Death Experiences, but nothing concrete.

Ah, my number 1 fear, the existential fear of non-existence

For those who have never done extensive research on the subject before, oriental and ancient thinkers and wisdom masters have many times been confronted with this question of the value of existence and what significance it has. The answer is: individuals, objects, life circumstances - all of these are defined as “characteristics” of existence. But what are the characteristics of existence, then? What are they doing here? Why are they, when we could just as easily do nothing, just as we could stand contemplating a soda machine and not even use it? The truth is, these features don't exist as “things” in the strict sense of the word, if you look closely enough. They all lack an independent existence from the rest of the objects. What does this mean? Well, take a tree, for example. A tree will appear to you as its own entity, acting and perceiving things in its own way, by itself. It has its own autonomy of consciousness and action. But what defines a tree? Take the time to look at it with insight, and you'll notice that it exists only through a set of connections on a life-size scale, whether it's the rain that brings it water, the soil in which it takes root, the air that makes it stir its leaves and breathe, the animals that use it as a perch, and so on. After that, it's only natural to realize that all these aforementioned interactions generate their own series of interactions, over an indefinitely prolonged chain. From this point on, it's clear that every object exists only in the context in which it is found. This is why the great teachers I've mentioned have said that the characteristics of existence are selfless. For nothing they represent exists without the environment around them, be it the food they ingest, the people they meet, and so on. It's this absence of a self that makes them conclude that existence is “empty”. Just as you would try to give a definition and value to an element such as the space around us and you won't find any. Therefore, it should be understood that the characteristics of existence make it neither “absent” nor “non-absent”.

you ever get that feeling of existential dread when lying in bed in the middle of the night and you’re like “oh fuck, eventually I’ll die”? Yeah the Bojack horseman part of the video gave me that exact feeling while in the middle of the day surrounded by other people, good job 🥲

I think one thing with The Circle that is interesting is the lyrics only using descriptions of Heaven(in a western sense), “radiant light”, ”beautiful chant”, “tender warmth”. And this is not to discredit The Circle for being about non-existence, but Guilty Gear is a very human condition centric so I’m wondering if The Circle is Bedman fearing, the idea of non-existence and the idea of Hell. Then if you assume the bed is possessed by bedman’s soul you could also say he finds his own Heaven protecting his sister. Maybe the bed trying to commit game over was a reflection bedman’s turbulent mind during The Circle(?) Music is interpretative might as well have a bit of fun with it

not to sound like a threat to myself, but I don't understand why non-existance is so scary. i mean, so what if I never got to smooch that special they/them or whatever: I'm not around to regret it anymore
