Joe Dart doesn't actually use his fingers to play the bass. He uses his neck to command the bass to groove. The fingers are just there for cooling down the strings.

There's some scientific evidence suggesting that the act of staying physically balanced will help you stay balanced and in the groove musically. Adam Neely touched on it in one of his recent instagram Q&A series "How to get good at music". It also looks cool as fuck.

@@joshuahoman1184 uhhh yeah but must bands take their guitars off their stands to play them. Here they are playing their guitars while they are on their stands. Look closely. The guitars never move and they don't have any guitar straps over their shoulders. Typically you only see musicians do this if they are playing multiple instruments within the one song in order to facilitate quick transitions. Here it is just for visual effect.

those guitar are the same size. the relative difference in dimensions is a visual illusion created by the lighting and color of each instrument. *THE MORE YOU KNOW*

@@lazylion420 Nah, that's a baritone guitar and it actually is larger. It is tuned lower than a normal guitar, you can tell when he plays on the lower frets on the low strings in his solo, and to me it sounds like he's tuned to either B or C standard. Baritone guitars also have a longer neck by a few inches. *THE MORE YOU KNOW*

Not 100%, but very similar. A lot of FF songs are re-works of Cory's songs. Flyers Direct AKA Overture (live in MPLS), Colonel Panic AKA Ketosis, etc.

He's one of the best current drummers on the scene for sure! I'm happy that Vulfpeck (probably Jack) fully realizes this so much so that they decided to put the camera on him during his solo at the end and even closed the whole video on him. That's some respect right there when drummers don't usually get it!
