It's really funny when I see some of the comments that people make when it comes to the art and passion of true engineering. I see stuff posted like " my ZR1" or "My Camero will smoke that Ferrari if I bolt a super charger to it". What these hill billies are failing to realize is that these cars are not mass produced like the "cup cakes" that come off the assembly lines of Detroit. These cars are more like hand crafted pieces of interactive works of art. That's why they increase in value...

Ferrari definitely has more than one red... I believe they have three: Rosso Scuderia, which is the bright orangey-red you see on the F1 car, Rosso Corsa, which is the deeper, more crimson-red, and finally, the deeper maroon, which you see on the 599 at the end of the vid.

on that note if you get a new car tell them you do not want it washed or detailed before delivery or you will refuse delivery, then call up a good detailer by looking on autogeekonline forums or autopia.org forums and have one of those touch your car, dont use a fly by night detailer. good detailers use a variety of pads and polishes not just a wool pad, some heavy duty compound and a glaze which just hides the defects.just some tips when you buy a new car lol

ferrari is ferrari is ferrari, but dare i say something is changing in our view of ferrari. Yes Ferrari will always be ferrari, but the competition has done its work. Lamborghini has seriously improved its game, and Pagani has showed the rest of italy and the world that ferrari has grown a bit long in the tooth and fresh blood means fresh thinking and fresh designs. Its now ferrari looking over its shoulders trying its best to hold there ground. auto's from mustangs to gtr's have come of age.

How can you compare an almost 100% hand made car (like a ferrari or a lamborghini Aventador) with a stock car like the GTR or the M5 (by the way, the R8 engine is directly derived from the Lamborghini Gallardo). Don't forget that Formula one technologies Ferrari has been developing in all these years are now used in their "berlinette". When the F1 gearbox appears for the first time inside the 360 Modena it was the FIRST TIME EVER... Don't ever confuse a Ferrari with a normal car.

thing is very few people pay attention to detail like us"show car" detailers do so yeah anything looks better in person, but what im getting at is the defects still in the paint when it leaves the factory, should not have sanding pigtails from a orbital sander in the paint of a $200,000 car. it would be like getting a brand new say chevy and the dealers detailer used a rotary buffer and wool pad and left tons of swirl marks on it then cover it with a glaze to hide the defects for 3 washes....

I want to know if ferrari will personalize a car and have it specially built according to the preference of the customer's specifications like rolls-royce does with their bespoke department, for example if I were to custom order a ferrari from the factory and have it personalized to my specifications, I would ask them to make mine using steel for the body shell instead of aluminum which is their standard material and I would ask them to put a v-8 engine in it with 386 hp instead of a v-12.

@ananda75413 i doubt that very much so, you need to keep in mind that they need to pay all these people, plus they have serious utility bills to pay and most of their materials ilke the leather, suede/cloths, carbon fibre, wood, aluminium accents w.e it be are all specialty items unique in their own way and are not produced like a normal car assembly line would have them.
