Vielen herzlichen Dank!!

Hi, Paul, you certainly take full advantage of the wonderful "Sonnenorgel" of Görlitz - you bring your Festive Collection to life here - your compositions and playing are truly inspirational and inspiring - thank you for sharing your superb talent with us here! I can see you're greatly enjoying playing on your Gloria Klassic 352 key desk - it's a beauty. What an amazing privilege it is to have such a wide variety of fabulous organs available to play, each and every one of them in the comfort and privacy of your own home - and then, on top of all that, visit and play the actual, real-life organs in person! You have the best of both worlds.

After finding Paul here, I have been bed bedridden from a head-on car collision. Stuck to bed, I can always return here and he always make my days better too. I can't go outside as it's been 42° C here in Austin most days, but low's as 40° C. At least I'm staying cool with power cooling bed sheet baffles. And I think I have it tough. I still count my blessings. Paul's music should be an Rx for me. But I can do that by spirit alone. I simply keep coming back to excel my recovery. In my prayers, thanking he and his playing. Not enough time in the day for he and my soul. Makes me want longer days just to hear him master the organs in venues he's already been to and I hope even more (all-as many as possible) to follow. Hope and pray he can get to as many as he can. I love the scores he writes.

I understand what you mean. I can't use the word "performance" as it is a bit vague. He "delivers" with "precision" AND "spiritual' feeling and I have never (you too probably) heard him perform for God. He delivers pure divinity first. Focusing on God's, The Holy spirit of the trilogy, three in one.

If this is an audition tape, Paul, you got the job. I think the C-major cries out for hymn lyrics. Are there any? I'm hearing in my head a choir in 6 parts (or the congregation doing the best they can). The tune is so simple, the accompaniment compelling.

@jdbreaux8080

From being in choir more than a decade, for me, the most challenging was the scores that were in other language's (Latin, etc.) and required a high degree of precision. Just those pieces of music were difficult to get through, even the first two measures alone. My/our director made us continue as we dreaded learning it. He stated that we would love it once we learnt it. He was always right giving us the boost to persevere day after day, week after week, month after month. He was not only right, we instantly learnt after our very first opportunity how the listeners went bonkers over it after hearing that one opening piece of music. Our call to worship that day. I remember that struggle. I remember the true joy we were able to express for all. For us and the listeners. What a way to connect our souls. That was my/our challenge. I was so very loved and it brings me to happy tears as I write this. I think Paul inherently takes on any score and pursues anything relatively difficult with determination and an open mind. His mature musical attitude seems to have never been a true problem for him. He always delivers and even contributes to those pieces writing his own scores adding with his personal passion to so many writers/authors of the scores he has learnt with even more personal flare. This is dumbfounding never doing any harm to the originals independent works. That alone is more than brilliance. No one I have ever heard has/can done/do this. Those that may have, I am not aware of consciously. I hope to hear that from Paul as I grow in love with his accomplishments. And indeed I hear it continue here by his works. I may never hear this from anyone else but him at this time. What an appreciation I have for him and what he continues to do. I cannot imagine where his path will take him and wonder what he will look back to when he is a mature 90 yr old man. He reminds me of John Rutter. Still alive and well in the UK, his music like Byrd will indeed transpire the ages of time. Music, THE universal language which is always timeless. He has already mastered that degree in his life, far beyond challenging. I share your curiosity.

@@PaulFey I build my computers. I knew that was a computer glitch and my ears trained to hear it and my analog hearing filtered it out. Consciously never truly registering. I'd have to study for it again, but I heard what I needed and what you played, never looking/hearing back on it. Already dismissed. Paul, you don't make those mistake. I wonder what it was like to hear reproductions, I guess in the 50's - 60's when vacuum tubes played Hi-Fidelity in pure analog. Our ears are analog, not digital. Going digital with analog (IMHO) music was humanity's downfall in music. However, the sounds you generate with your technology replicates the sounds as though I were sitting in a worship service.What you do with technology overcomes the digitization. Outstanding judgement call of your use and manipulation of technology. You exceed the trade-off and deliver what is needed with your technology. Use what you got, nah, you've mastered that too.You rock.
