Diversity in the Animal Kingdon, is only matched by stupidity of Human Beings. No human can ever beat a machine in chess. It's over. The Computer won and mankind will never beat it again. Which shows you, that kind of learning, non-human thinking, non-human learning is itself very powerful. Animals don't need higher intelligence, as they're so powerful, with the basics, required for continued survival. Humans, backed themselves into a corner with AI and recently, employees from OpenAI, stated a 70% chance that an AGI (Artificial General Intelligence), with it's inevitable arrival, presents the single greatest threat to mankind, since the Atomic bomb and Mutually Assured Destruction. It has potential, to bring about a targeted, deliberate and catastrophic end to the Human species. No other species, anywhere in nature, actively, systemically and repeatedly seeks to bring about its own destruction.

Really? So putting human personalities, traits and understandings of what's happening in a lion pride is a better documentary then one that portrays them as they are naturally without being anthropomorphized? In reality because of this it actually isn't a documentary anymore, it's just a show like any other

I have to be honest and say this mega episode delivered a very poor description of Sakakama's role highlighting his reign over the pride. Throughout the entire 3 plus hours, the lion was clearly at the top of his game the entire time and ruled supreme, yet the narrator would always describe him as old, likely to make mistakes leading to his demise and so on. What could have been a very good segment of documentary was instead received as poor, but this is just my personal opinion. Overall, all the other stories were done satisfactory. It was the narration that killed it for me, the filming was spot on and great.

You guys do realize that once they anthropomorphise the animals giving them human traits, personalities, and thoughts like they do here in Savage Kingdom that it actually ceases to be a documentary about the natural world anymore right? It becomesa just a show like any other, nothing wrong with enjoying it for what it is, but it isn't a documentary like so many commenting here seem to believe it is still.
