I was about to say get some Preston precision rails for it then noticed you got em already. I have a 14" Bren 2 in 7.62x39. pin and welded a suppressor mount to make it rifle length but still use my can. Also got the military style waffle stock on it and a thermal. After getting the high load piston spring on it it shoots like fuckin dream. I wish I could have gotten one of the Brens that look like the military version, but I'm certainly happy with what I have. Can't wait to find an 11" in 556. That would be sweet with a waffle stock. Oh yeah...let's go Brandon

Shawn, I was looking at the 7.62 model a lot until I saw the 5.56 one with a HK steel mag, it was so dang beautiful I had to have it. That waffle stock looks nice, I considered it for the build. Thanks for stopping by and yeah let's go Brandon

You should buy in full confidence! However, only purchase one of the 5.56 models, preferably the 11in, 14in, or 16in. Only the 7.62x39 models have had some lemons/growing pains.

@alexferrara9287 I bought one already fixed up hb gas port and springs. 9in 7.62. Runs flawless. Grabbed it for 1500. Already have a custom made telescoping titanium stock made. Deciding on reflex or lpvo. Just put a votex razor on my scar and I'm shooting threw my holes at 200 yards. Thinking I may buy the viper thr model under it. Stuck on lpvo amd the holosun aems or 512. Possibly eotech but I hate not having solar panels.

@@mrrod3004 The main issue seen (limited numbers) with the 7.62x39 models, were stovepipes caused by cracked/broken extractors. Some have experienced unusual wear or even galling, on the bolt itself. How often do you shoot your guns, if you don’t mind me asking? Personally, I wouldn’t went with the 5.56 version and compared it with your SCAR 16. I think you would actually prefer it over the SCAR. The 5.56 variant of the Bren 2 is a dependable platform, which is worth the extra money spent on aftermarket parts. As much as I’d like to tell you to return the 7.62x39, I truly hope it runs long enough to pass down to your children and that you won’t have any issues. If it were my money though, I’d get the 5.56 and wait until CZ addresses the issue with the 7.62 bro!

Any reason why you went with the 8inch over the 11.5 regarding ballistics and longevity (since you said it was for defense and not just plinking)? Or did you consider the 7.62x39 in 9 inch? Thanks!
@cpgemini6040
Жыл бұрын
I figured 8 inches would be fine at close range in the house, in case someone was to break in, I wouldn't use this firearm in an open setting. 7.62x39 is only cool with AKs

I love my Bren 2, I have the 14-inch one that I pinned and welded and added the Bren 2 stock. I like it more than my Scar and MCX Virtus.
