HarperCollins has published some of my favorite books and I hate that they took so long to negotiate with the union. It’s left me with a negative feeling about them honestly. I appreciate you refusing to review their books. It’s a very strong way to support the union workers. Also so cool that you’ve started a newsletter. I’ll sign up now!

The Knife of Never Letting Go is one of my favorite books of all time. The series is excellent. I'd love to see you do a deep dive video about it.

The knife that never letting go as a trilogy was so beautiful because encompasses our ability to not understand things, but to punish things we don't understand. The third book focuses more upon it in such a heartbreaking way. I absolutely loved the trilogy.

You taking about a book by Kate Daniels’s author book but also NOT LETTING YOURSELF TALK ABOUT IT is incredible and some of the best support of the hc Union I’ve heard. you are the only person I’ve ever heard talk about Kate Daniels and while I haven’t read any of the series, if I ever do, it will absolutely be because of you. And so you refraining from reviewing in support of the hc Union hits so hard and I hope it hits just as hard for other people.

It's a really good comp. The other one that's pretty good that I've seen is that it's like season 5 of Supernatural crossed with Last Night at the Telegraph Club.

Not a huge Anne Pachette fan tbh. I tried reading Commonwealth but had to put it down because of the strong racial omissions. One of the main characters is a white cop for the LAPD during the 60s. Pachette's dad was a police officer for the same department, and she comes across as fairly pro-police in interviews.

You really should read more of C.L. Polk's work! I've read all of her stuff and loved all of them. She does such a fun turn of the century style fantasy and most of her books are super queer. Highly recommend.

Hihi! I'm also a super big fan also! Just thought I'd let you know that Polk goes by they/them pronouns :) I'm so glad that more and more people are reading their stuff. I've loved everything they've put out so far. I think Soulstar might be my favourite just because of Robin Miles being such a spectacular VA but it's pretty damn close. What's yours?

In my head I completely forgot Knife of Never Letting Go was a 3-4 star read for you. I think of it as 5 stars for you. I don't _love_ Todd bring awful but I understand Todd being awful and I could live with that but, and I know you disagree, but the book feels like it's driving you to such a place of hopelessness that I was like "nope, I am getting off this train of despair." Also it's too long to be only part 1 😄. But I'm glad you're doing a deep dive! What thoughtful content and it is kind of a book for our times. Plus it's like a YA book that is definitely YA but also engages the reader almost in an adult way with how much it asks of you.

Love that you're giving Ilona Andrews some much deserved love 😍. Yes, Magic Bites is not their best, but I'd pit their "not best" against Any other UF author Any day. I wish more You Tubers and Tik Tokers would talk about them (you and Mara-Books Like Woah are the only ones I hear talking about them regularly). They are Leagues better than author's like Maas, Clare, Armentrount, etc but who do I hear about constantly? 🤢🤮🤬

You are not alone! I also loved TKONLG. I did hate the animal cruelty in it though and because of that I’m not going to read the rest of the books in the series. I was traumatised by what happened to that sweet pup.

Would you ever make a video on how you read so many books in a month? It would be useful to have some tips. The most books I've ever read in a month is 8, and that was only during lockdown when I wasn't working. How would you fit so much reading into a busy schedule?
