This machine is so beautiful and I‘m really thinking of getting one. But I‘m also thinking about the climbs I have to battle when comuting to work and back home. There are climbs of up to 10% and so I think it would be best to have an e-bike motor fitted in the Milan or every other velomobile to avoid causing trafik jams. What do you think, is it possible to fit am e-bike motor in the Milan? Thanks for answer and greetings from Austria, Günther

Wow! That Blue is beautiful! That air vent system is a great idea, I have lost track of how many rides I have done with the visor open so I can see through it, only to get the rain in my EYES :-(. One question: I can imagine changing down from the 65 chainring, but how do you jump UP from the 42 tooth? That is one HELL of a jump! Would a 72 tooth ring on a mountain drive work, as in the QV? Lovely machine.

Hi John, I really enjoy your videos in general and this one in particular. I am new to velomobiles, with my QV+ “Pennywise”, but I am itching to get a Milan. Probably a GT. Could you please confirm what the blue color option is? You said “Minerva Blue”, but I could not see that on the options page on Velomobile World’s website? I’m leaning toward either a blue (Metallic blue or Corvette Rapid blue ) or green (metallic green or Porsche Green) on top and white below. I think the curves on the top will show off the colors better than the flat sides. I would appreciate your input.
@velo-ads4206
2 жыл бұрын
Hi you are definitely right about the metallic on the top showing off the curves, stick with a white bottom half so if you scratch it then it is easier to touch up. Minerva blue was a special request on my part, velomobileworld now have the paintcode, porsche used it in 1978 on some 9'11s

Hey, I've been watching your content for a year now. It really inspires me, I'm 20 years old, and the velomobile culture inspired me so much that I myself want to build one for me. The thing is: Brazil is a very Hilly country and It would need to have batteries, motors and such... But that raises the question of how to deal with crosswinds from trucks and vans. Do you have that kind of problem in the UK?

it's an amazing velomobile and have tons of little extra features, only thing is that it could have look much better if having 2 long ridges instead of 4 bumps. For a velomobile with an Italian name, I expect sexier curves.

@@switt5923 yeah, it's true, "Milan" is not an Italian city counting 1.4 million people... as it's also a lie that in German (Milans velomobiles are made in Räderwerk, Germany), milans (birds) are more than often called "gabelweihe" or "königsweihe"... "wouw" in Dutch... or "reade glee" in Frysk 😉 Milan have a Latin etymology... not Germanic.

Cool! What's your shoe size? I tested Milan SL MK7 with a 155 mm cranks a while a go and I had problems that my shoes were touching to the body of the velomobile. I just had a client here with 136 kg on his hips, was a tight fit but he was able to get in and out. But be aware that, depending how you distribute the weight, it can be necessary to lose some of it to ride safely. Furthermore the Milan needs to have some reinforcements to carry that extra weight of you.
