The first Jackson Double Rhoads + "Big Red" Guitar: Dave Linsk of Overkill & Robbin Crosby of RATT. The Double Rhoads was the father of the Jackson King V. Only 12 were ever made, only one of which was a single humbucker as seen here. The turquoise zebra pattern example was the original design of Dave Polinski of Overkill, who would later go by the stage name of Dave Linsk. These models had larger bodies and were constructed by placing two Randy Rhoads bodies together. The zebra model has an exaggerated cut away for better fret access. "Big Red" was the famous guitar of Robbin Crosby of platinum selling band RATT. It was this exact guitar that really made the body style famous and ensured the Jackson King V would be a wildly successful design used later by James Hetfield of Metallica and Dave Mustaine of Megadeth amongst many others.
