Nothing like being with family when big moments in life happen. Andy Kim was with his Mom and Dad in the kitchen when heard his song on the radio for The First Time.
I'm glad I lived this journey of great music, great songs of the 70s & 80s. Now I'm just waiting for my expiry date recall from the Lord.

As a 40 year long radio vet, I'm disappointed I can't listen online here in the USA!

The on air radio talent that was had in the USA going back to the 60’s is gone. Morning shows that started our days with witty humor and drive time traffic radio have disappeared.

@@philbrown1474 No question. With my 40+ years of experience, I can't even find a gig unless I want to move across the country again. I've done that for much too long. I moved nearly 2000 miles for a job 3 years ago.

Love these videos, but wish they didn’t cut out parts of the artists stories. Want to hear the whole thing.

boom 97.3 Thanks for the info. But the effects make it seem like something’s been fast forwarded through.

Actually he did make it. Are you a musician? Nope, I can tell because if you had the slightest idea the life an artist leads and the road they have to travel, you would appreciate the music you listen to more. It's a choice they need to make and have to make to be true to themselves. They expose their feelings and entire identity just to express their deep inner thoughts in a way that others can understand. They share their soul. To do this, they create and that takes talent. Have some respect. This man is a legend with pure talent and he gave the world his heart.

@@dawneladouceur9955 Did he make it in the United States? Not as much as in Canada, that's for sure. All we got down here is BTO and Rush (and a few more I can't think of now). Also, yes, I am a musician (thank you for answering for me...incorrectly). So, yes, I do know the life and the sacrifices and the competitiveness, the back-stabbing and the tiny chances of actually making it, in the US or otherwise. I never said anything bad about him nor do I disrespect him. So chill dude!

At least you have heard of him and his songs, talking about them fifty years later, that's "making it" more than many artists did.
