Loved Bethanys tecnique to help Obed downstairs! It seems to give her control over how he moves, it gives stability as she can use her body to support him and it leaves her hand free to follow the railing. I am thoroughly impressed!

@@SixBlindKids I talked to a woman who once taught people origami on a radio show. She said it took 3 hours to ‘show’ them how to make a paper crane without a visual forum. Really puts into perspective what your kids have overcome to learn life skills. Kudos to them and all their teachers (formal and informal)!

C SA you are so observant! Karen knows this already, I’ve taught students with visual impairments and blindness for 30+ years and that is the hardest thing for the sighted population to understand. More than 50% of learning is through sight! (& 50% is generous!) I taught ages 0-22, so lots of time was spent teaching parents and other professionals how to teach the child at home or in school, therapy, etc.

My mom and I were just talking about how amazing you all are. I am literally in tears all of you are so saportive with each other and patient. I am in tears and awe of how every word that is spoken is with love and kindness. You (the parents) are so amazing you both are so kind and saportive of all your kids but you don’t push them to the point they don’t want to do something but on the same token you don’t let them sit around and not do anything. You are are raising some amazing and independent children. I give you props. Thank you for sharing this with the word. I feel blessed that I get to come along on this amazing journey. This also makes me feel amazing because your family reminds me that as a dissabled person (ptsd anxiety depression and being legally blind}I will always overcome and adapt and I will be ok. So I gues to sum it up the positivity and hope and joy and love you all have for each other is infectouse and awe inspiring and I am so great full you share that with others . Ps I hope that all made sense I wasn’t quite sure how to exsplain it lol 👍❤️🧡💛💚💙💜👩🏽🦯🦯
