This documentary was made and shown on BBC television in 1986. The Conservative Party had a huge majority in Government and the Nation's assets were being sold off at bargain prices whilst manufacturing industry collapsed. Money from the discovery of oil in the North Sea and from the selling of public property to the Conservative Party's friends financed the growing dole queue whilst the massive majority of Conservatives in Parliament enabled the passing of anti-Union laws and Acts to maintain firm control over public unrest. Great Britain is being restored to its traditional owners. Against this background four Conservative supporters decided to allow a film maker to record their points of view and their attitudes on a fishing trip. Henry comes from an old aristocratic family, has a private income and is considering a career in politics. Robert calls himself upper-middle-class and says he has dissipated an inherited fortune, he belongs to the best clubs and believes that public unrest is due to the loony left stirring up drug addicts and the like. Guy is a commodity broker and wants the death penalty reinstated, he says he would do the job himself - even if one in ten of those executed turn out to have been innocent. John is a dealer with Guy and thinks of himself as 'street wise' : An inverted snob, he makes a show of asking for HP Sauce and brown vinegar. In a relaxed atmosphere these chaps show their true colours.
