Great video. When you really need that cordage - when you’re wet and it’s dark and your fingers don’t want to work because they’re cold - the easier it is to deploy, the better. Thanks David.

I did the first one out of Type 1 paracord - the thin stuff. I only had brown camo, so it came out looking like a rattlesnake's tail. Second one was with yellow and orange regular paracord. Good visibility. Both were done while your video was still running. Talk about simple. Thanks, David.

I need simple. I'm so knot challenged that every time I needed to Cobra Weave, I had to pull up my own tutorial video on it. LOL! I won't be forgetting how to Fishtail Braid.

I used a modified fishtail weave for a "survival braclet" the deployment for use is much quicker than any other weave I have tried

For lanyards, the Fishtail Braid deploys many times faster than the Cobra Weave that I've been using for years. It also will store more cordage, slightly more, in the same length lanyard. I like to put lanyards on knives, saws, steels, fatwood bearing blocks, ferro rods, etc. They're handy for an emergency bow drill bowstring, visibility when I drop gear into the shadows, and for random cordage needs. Today I demonstrate how slow the Cobra Weave deploys, how fast the Fishtail Braid deploys, and of course, how to do the Fishtail Braid. We got some fire on too, using a ferro rod and fatwood bearing block with their new lanyards attached. Please follow the LINKS below and SUBSCRIBE. Thank You! Awesome job, looks like a very effective braid, and it didn’t look to difficult braid. I will try this out. I’m like you, I like to put orange or bright paracord on things I carry It makes it easy to find things I drop and it’s always good to have extra cordage. Thanks my friend. God Bless.
