Beautiful restoration ! The oldest device that i hold in hand is an arrowhead found at the fool of the Queribus castle (South of France, in the country of Cathars), 34 years ago.

You asked what the oldest object we've held is... I sometimes wear a late first century CE silver ring, Roman. not fancy or expensive, probably belonged to a merchant. I believe it was found with a stash of other jewellery in what is now Croatia about 35 years ago. I also have several silver denarii from that same period. (Ottawa)

Oldest man made object I've ever held... Pre-Columbian arrowhead.😊
@SalvageRestore

wow, i think pre-columbian ones date back to 1000 led BC, and the oldest cro-mayon arrowheads date back to 64,000 BC

@@SalvageRestore surprisingly enough, they're actually fairly common finds. They're probably more likely something like 10 to 12,000 years old. If you ever get a chance to go to Gobekli Tepe or any of the sites in that area, artifacts that old and older are all over the ground. And people pick them up and pile them up everywhere.

The oldest human made object I have held is a Flint stone axe head from the Mesolithic period And I actually own this axe head. My grandpa got it from his father (aka my great grandpa) and he found it as a little boy in the late 1800 Hundreds in Jylland,Denmark It is estimated to be between 6-8000 years old And yes, I am allowed to own it

@@SalvageRestore yes! Absolutely. I can't count how many times I have just put it under some strong light,sitting and just studied every single detail of the axe. Thinking to myself, this item has been looking exactly like this for at least 5000 years,probably 7-8000 Thinking about things like that gives me very humbling feeling 😊 like a time capsule
