Looks like you're doing everything right...might want to spin the oil filter off & drain it out - put some deisel in there & spin it back on...the cylinder heads & rockers weren't sludged up - it may just go

I've seen a many "bad" motors rehabbed back to life. Anyone with with money can buy new or remanufactured. Where's the fun in that? Take junk and make it run. Nothing is more pure or satisfying. Good on you bro 👍👊

You should’ve filled it up with diesel at the beginning, then driven around for a couple of days with the motor in the back of your truck, to shake everything up a bit. Edit: AFTER draining the water out first.

It's still in the trailer outside. Full of diesel. If it was ever going to save it it should by now. I really need to get back over to Tom's and have another crack at it.
