Excellent, In 1988 I took a Raleigh chrome burner and fitted a set of Mountain bike forks, A 26" MTB wheel and a set of CW bars, I t looked proper weird but I rode it all summer long, Went swimming and camping on it, I called it The Phantom Bellringer, A year later I created Bellringer MK2 using a 1950's butchers bike fitted with a gold Araya BMX wheel, I miss those days

I think a 100mm travel fork would be more than enough for that bike, easier to do tricks as well. Also a change of seats would keep it from trying to buck you over the bars. Would love to see it taken on a dirt jump line :-)

Thanks, Sam, for taking us back to the early days of converting bikes into BMX bikes. You recreated the vibe well, and although those forks weren't yet around, Moto-X Fox was one of the first cool aftermarket brands. And it'd be great if someone could lend you one of the first true BMX bikes--like the CYC Stormer--so you could experience the difference between homemade--modified Chopper--and factory. And please tell us what's in a Chopper Meal so we know what to order.

Thanks for yet more laughs. The suspension forks kick that geometry back way to much for you to cut loose much. Maybe put a 20" BMX fork and a a 8" t0 10" BMX bar. It should level it off a bit. Also you could install the original fork & wheel, put the PVC segments on the rear, and get Chopper Squirly!
