Depends on the cookie and how organised the kitchen is. If she has a stand mixer (I'd be shocked if she didn't in that kitchen) and knows where the tools and ingredients can be found without hunting them down, then half an hour for snickerdoodles would be more than reasonable - you don't have to chill the dough and they bake in like 10 minutes.

Too much sense of time? Idk it feels like “time anxiety” would be a better name. I thought this meant they would magically know what time is. For example being like “oh we need to takes the cookies out of the oven.” Person 2 “The timer hasn’t gone off yet.” Que the timer going off as Person 1 is taking them out of the oven.
@aleeshacampbell129

"Magically know what time it is" lol sounds like me! I always set a timer on my watch then completely forget about the timer, then all of a sudden I will think "wait didn't I set a timer, why hasn't it gone off yet?" and then the timer will literally go off a few seconds after I say that. Also I will set an alarm to wake me up, then in the morning I will randomly wake up before my alarm and think "yess my alarm hasn't gone off yet so I can go back to sleep" then my alarm goes off a few seconds later.. how does my body know-

Some already pointed out correctly: this is compensating for time blindness. Here's an example of timesense that's not compensating: Your flight departs at 12:00, which is when chocks are removed from the wheels of the plane. Gate opens 40-45min before departure time, check-in opens 2 hours before departure. Security takes 3-15 minutes depending on the queue. Therefore, if you are already checked-in online with only a small bag, and it's off-season flight so it's calm in the airport, you need to arrive no earlier than 45(gate opening to departure) + 45 (security + coffee + travel to gate + eventualities) = 90 minutes before departure time, and 1 hour before departure at latest. If you have a bag, 2 hours before departure to allow for 30 min bag drop-off. I always follow the 45+45+30 rule and was never surprised or rushed at any airport, nor had I to wait more than 40 minutes at the gate.
@SteinGauslaaStrindhaug
3 ай бұрын
Yes, and in overcompensating time blindness, you round every step up to a whole hour and then maybe add an extra hour just in case, and then maybe you start thinking of this already excessively generous deadline as the actual deadline and start adding a few extra 30 minutes and hours to that. And then you always spend at least 4 hours at the airport. That's how I do it 😅

You are insane only getting to the airport 90 minutes before the flight. Getting to the airport from parking takes 25 minutes at my airport, and then security moves at whatever speed leaves you most inconvenienced (slow if you’re late). I always get to the airport 3.5-5 hours before the flight. My airport is designed to take as much time as possible to get through though.

I’m not this excessive, but this is me lol. I tend to get easily distracted or get ready a different speeds depending on how tired or out of it I am. I give myself over an hour to get ready for work (especially wake up time when I work in the mornings). Some days I oversleep and barely get ready in time, some days I zone out and my many alarms snap me back into my senses, and sometimes I have a lot of free time to relax, make food, etc. My friends think I’m crazy, but, when I give myself a schedule, I’m rarely late. That is totally me, to a T! When I used to work in retail at a big box store, I would get there an hour and a half to two hours early so that I could sit in the deli with my frapp and acclimate to all the noise and light (but I'm also on the spectrum, so that explains part of it). But I'm also that person who, when going to an evening event with someone who will be driving us there, will get to their house an hour before I need to, then freak out (silently) if they aren't ready to go immediately. And yesterday, when my transportation service had a last-minute change in their itinerary and had to pick up someone else before me and drop them off before taking me to my destination, I freaked out (not silently) because I got to it a half hour later than I expected to. (Side note: My destination was the grocery store a mile from my house where I had planned to shop for an hour and a half, then wait twenty or thirty minutes for my ride service to pick me up and take me back home. 🙄)

Nah, people that are hours early don't have a sense of time. The person that does knows exactly the amount of delay a route on average has, that peeing takes 30 seconds, as well as washing hands, so you need max 5 minutes if you go to the toilet on a quiet day. They know the theater has a 2 minute walk and if you ask them what time it is, they just know to the minute without having looked at a clock the last 4 hours.
