i mean, in regards to music theory it is relatively simplistic in the grand scheme of experimentation and music in general, however, it is a fucking kick ass song that i absolutely adore.

It’s a great song, but when u break it down (coming from a musician), the guitar riff is a few separate notes all based around a power chord, and the drum beat is simply a disco drum beat mixed with emo influences.

I can't believe I've never realized how similar these guys are to They Might Be Giants. The resemblance is almost uncanny if you think about it! haha -Both consist of two guys that everyone who has heard of either band knows about, plus a supporting band with a bunch of people nobody really cares about. -Both are/were signed to Bar/None Records -Both play strange, catchy indie rock songs with humorous and slightly cryptic lyrics. -Both use instruments that aren't used very often with the type of music they play. -Both have excellent fanbases -Both are from the same area (TFB are from New Jersey, TMBG are from Brooklyn)

I will forever love these guys. I saw them for the second time live last night and it was incredible to see how much of a difference it was from the first time I saw them live. The first time, no one knew them except for me and a few others and it was fun because of their perfect energy--last night it was a mosh pit of hundreds of screaming fans who knew every lyric to every song. I love the Front Bottoms, but I don't think anything they've written since this has ever been so good. I feel like they did everything they ever wanted to in one song and this was it. It's one of the catchiest and most original songs ever. Brian is a poet and an amazing musician.
