Anybody complaining clearly did not grow up in the early years of millennials. This kind of tech, even running at low specs, was something we dreamed of in 75 years. This kind of tech is far beyond where we even should be right now. High end PC games on a handheld device was unfathomable until these launched. This is extremely unique tech that is real advancement in technology.

Maaaan. Ive said many times I am an 80/90’s kid. My starter handheld gaming was Tiger Electronics then Gameboy in 92 and almost every handheld since. Where we are today is amazing. The younger ones dont know lol. Thats probably why I am pretty positive abput all the devices and very fair when talking about them all. No fanboying certain products or companies from me. Just love for all the tech and games. Cant wait to see where we are in another 5-10 years. Besides more gray hair 🤣

@@GameTechPlanet yup, I got my first Gameboy when I had my communion party. I still remember having to change our the 4 AA batteries after just a few hours of gameplay and nobody cared, we were happy we could play games in the car while Mom or dad drove. Then they came out with the rechargable Gameboy pack and these kids do not even know the meaning of clunky feeling handheld until you hold a Gameboy with the charger pack. I remember having to adjust the contrast/sharpness/ and brightness just to see in the sun, and yet still, completely happy. I remember when the game gear came out and being mind blown about colored screens on handheld with 16 to 32bit graphics. Early Millennials have a different form of appreciation for tech. It's our baby.

Plus im always going to want a bigger screen and I heard the GO software has improved dramatically over the past year. Call me crazy but i thought the screen looked better and I can always return it if so. Idk how soon new handheld devices are coming out. And feel like the battery life is just everything when it comes to the new device people talk about but I can plug it in or buy a power bank to charge on the go… Do you use one at all? Deck oled had been my preferred device since it released but the Go has been creeping up over time. The biggest shift is usability for me was when they added the ability to fully tweak deadzones and stick response curves. The controllers went from my least favorite to use to one of my favorites since it has all those mappable back buttons. I bought a little 3d printed connector for the 2 halves and now I actually prefer using them over an Xbox controller. The power profile customization is still a bit funky, but it sounds like they're aware and working on it.

So I have been tempted to purchase a Legion Go but may hold out until next year and see if they update some of the hardware. If they switch the screen to OLED and bump the ram to 24 gb that’s all it would take for me. The OLED would reduce power consumption an issue in its current format and the additional Ram would help with newer games. I have an lcd steam deck but my old eyes would love a larger screen that the Go has.
