Hey gaegel, you were the one who got me into brawler! I’ve stopped playing like you for a year but I’m playing melee instead. Your playstyle matches that game significantly more!

I might actually give Melee a more serious try, although the technicality does seem like a challenge to get into at this point....but who knows!

@@Gaegel I was worried about tech skill too which is why I started on ultimate. Especially compared to brawler there's not that much tech skill tbh. Especially if you aren't a top 100 player.

sometimes i let the intrusive thoughts win and pick up ultimate for a little while and have a miserable time with it and when this happens playing some melee to wind down after ultimate upsets me is like having a warm bowl of soup fighting an ultimate dlc character then going to melee where the scariest guy i can come across is just fox or something is like waking up from a nightmare as a child and crying to your parents about it and staying in their bed for the night where you can drift peacefully back to sleep knowing the scary monsters aren't real

Imma be honest man you were the guy who got me into mii brawler and smash as a whole again. I remember i wss struggling to find a main until i came upom your channel and saw all the high quality tutorials (even if i did only go for dthrow thrupper in sets lol) for a character i found out that i loved to play I stopped playing it after a while tho mostly bc i stopoed playing with friends i used to and got into othet stuff but yout content will always hold a special place in my heart for basically showing me the light of mii brawler lol Whatever you make next im excited to see you back no matter what gaegel ♥️

Agree 100%, as much as a love Smash, the defensive meta just killed it for me. I really havent played the game seriously in a while, plus with NASB2 being incredible so far and working on my own things, i basically have no reason to play Ultimate. The era of Ultimate for me is over, but I still watch tournament highlights now and then and your channel has always been one of the most interesting in the community, so I'm still more than willing to stick around for whatever you've got planned ❤ Hope everything goes well!

Missed you man. Glad to hear that we will be getting more content soon. A video from you sounds like a great way to start any saturday. Have a good one and trust that at least this brawler main will have the bell ringed for your channel ready to like and subscribe every week.

Happy to see you here again! Your current position towards the game is completely understandable. The meta establishing itself as a defensive fest + brawler getting mostly figured out makes it difficult to produce content like we used to. Wish you the best going forward 🤙🏻

Ngl u hit the nail on the head. I was a cringe main myself I played min min. But somehow the meta has devolved into a level of lameness that makes her look hype. NASB 2 has been a blessing man. Def try it if you can

GAEGEL MY GOAT! (Kayeetle here) I'm glad your takin this channel in a direction that suits you man. I really do hope that you can get somethin done so you enjoy your uploads a bit more. If you ever need an alternative plat fighter to Smash Ultimate, Rivals of Aether is right there. Tried and true for years, aggressive, excellent game feel, way easier than melee, it's got all the stuff and I really would HIGHLY recommend it. Base cast is so diverse and interesting (and can be played online with *rollback*), and I've personally become a diehard Olympia player for a easy to pick up brawler with STRONG burst movement while still hitting like a truck. I know you've played the workshop mii brawler with whydo b4, it's a peak character. I got the game originally cause I saw brawler get added, and he's still one of my mains to this day, but workshop is just so vast with so many characters it's just crazy to explore and find someone who perks your playstyle and interests (plus rivals steve is actually cool and not campy and has rob dtilt wait what). If you ever wanna just do a bit of rivals for one of ur vids (base cast or workshop) and need someone to do it with, hmu. I've gotten into modding stuff myself and can help ya find some of the cool stuff. I totally understand the lack of enthusiasm for smash at times, I dropped the game for the most part just because I preferred Rivals and Ultimate online doesn't suit rushdown play well. Whatever content direction you take I hope it's something that you find interesting and sustainable. (Btw, I will never give up on how (not) to use Onslaught. Idc if the HoA video has gotten 50 views in 2 years (who even knows who of those liked it), I will push forward and see too it till the day I (get busy with life and don't have free time anymore) until the vid gets 4k likes and I can finally finish the arc that started all the way back at bad things happening to good people. In all seriousness though, I am totally still trying to get that goal reached, but don't feel like it needs to be another deep researched video like your others, as long as it like has more substance than how not to use counter throw, I'll be happy)

Honestly the reason I subscribed wasn’t to learn practical tips. I don’t even really play brawler anymore lol. I just like hearing about what you’ve learned because you explain things well and I just enjoy your energy. If you still have stuff you wanna look into, I’d love to see it. (But tbh I’d still love to see an exploding side kick video)

So you said that you understand matchups and how too play them. Most people on youtube tell you very little about how too win matchups. I think it would be really cool if you could impart this knoledge onto us of how too win matchups vs char Y. As any char or as char x not sure what would be easier. Anyways, welcome back and i hope you have fun making youtube again

Steve was the culmination of everything bad about ultimate. Steve rewards running and stalling and camping far too much.

In general it's fine if a fighting game works that way, that's just preference of playstyle and gameplay options. The problem for me lies rather in his introduction as a DLC into a game that has been running for a few years already. Steve most definitely didn't start defining the meta we have now on his own, others like ROB and Sonic would've risen regardless eventually, but if I had known Ultimate would become like this I probably would've reconsidered how much time I spend on the game from the start.
