Liking this series with Ryan Graves. If I could offer 2 unsolicited thoughts they would be: 1) To have an episode with scientists who are not heavily invested in the Aliens/ conspiratorial end of the argument (like a Gary Nolan, who the more I learn about the less I find credible or objective) but people who can go through the neglected terrestrial technology end of the UAP debate. And 2) For Ryan Graves and other like him not to allow himself to be co-platformed/lumped together with the Knapp/Corbell/Lazar/Grusch circus, which is a negative influence on the UAP debate and feeds off the credibility of people like Graves and Fravor. May have been unavoidable in the context of the House Hearings, where the format was predetermined, but hopefully not to be repeated. Thanks for the podcast.

I have been listening to your podcast since the beginning and I have to say this is probably one of the MOST important episodes. It is infuriating as a US citizen to know that pilots (military in particular) are having to deal with these issues on their own. It is time to stop sweeping these safety issues under the rug. The reason I started listening is because for years I have not been able to comprehend how these things, whatever they are, are allowed to fly in our airspace with zero regard, consequence, or even curiosity. It makes no sense to me.

Unidentified anomalous phenomena are differentiated from both attributed and temporarily non-attributed objects by one or more of the following observables: (i) Instantaneous acceleration absent apparent inertia. (ii) Hypersonic velocity absent a thermal signature and sonic shockwave. (iii) Transmedium (such as space-to-ground and air-to- undersea) travel. (iv) Positive lift contrary to known aerodynamic principles. (v) Multispectral signature control. (vi) Physical or invasive biological effects to close observers and the environment. (B) Inclusions.--The term ``unidentified anomalous phenomena'' includes what were previously described as-- (i) flying discs; (ii) flying saucers; (iii) unidentified aerial phenomena; (iv) unidentified flying objects (UFOs); and (v) unidentified submerged objects (USOs).

In her professional work Dr. Whiteley is addressing the (deliberately) long-stigmatized topic of professional pilot encounters with UAP. That is wonderful! However, in listening to this interview, I get a subtle but perceptible feeling that Dr. Whiteley is, herself, still being influenced by the UAP stigma as evidenced by her frequent use of more general pronouns rather than specifying "UAP" or "UFO" in her references to such aerial encounters. If she wants pilots encountering UAP/UFOs to be forthcoming with her, she could project the impression that she is comfortable with and quite definite about what situations she is referring too - pilot encounters with UAP/UFOs and the NHI (non-human intelligence) behind them. Breaking down the UFO stigma starts with people like her. Thank you both for participating in this important interview!

Slowly the UAP subject is getting serious professional attention. As Dr. Whitely said, it's still a taboo in many fields, and getting funding is an issue. That she is working on her own personal time to work on the UAP issue regarding safety and psychological help for pilots dealing with this.
@akaa877
Жыл бұрын
I'm glad that some of the more trustworthy, earnest, experienced outspoken people on UAPs are framing this issue from either a scientific point of view or from a flight safety angle. What we don't need is to make this a national security issue like the military industrial complex and security state wants to. Sure, there are specific ways in which UAPs have affected the USAs and other nations "national security" but not in a bad way. From what I read and learned, they tried to mitigate major destruction and death on our planet. The biggest threat to humanity and our planet are humans, not UAPs and any "ETs".
@seacaster

Having a secret forum for pilots to use to discuss UAP issues is more difficult than the precious scenario with automation because of the intelligence communities interest in this issue. It would be easy for them to trace certain types of conversations on the internet and infiltrate the group. Who knows what kind of problems they would cause the honest members. Dr. Whiteley's sincere interest and public support of her work would be helpful. This means of course this message has to get out. So support for this podcasters site is helpful.

Ryan, you, Fravor and Grusch have a monumental and crucial task on the 26th. You need to convince the public that this phenomenon is real. History shows that simply telling your story is not enough. Now is not the time to hold back on information. This is absolutely a once in a lifetime opportunity, the eyes of millions of people and everyone in that building will be locked on you and we need more than stories, we need evidence. Names, locations, better photos, better videos, there has got to be something that one of you three can provide to give the public a definitive answer on this subject and settle the debate once and for all. Anything short of that will be a waste of time. Good luck! DON'T HOLD BACK.

Hello Ryan. Great podcast. Given all the speculation that’s flying around at the moment, some of it wild, I am gratified to see you keep this tight to what pilots have seen and experienced. With respect to UAPs, all that can be said for certain is that “somethings” are flying around, apparently defying normal rules of physics and aerodynamics. It disturbs me, even among the pilot communities (I am not a pilot) where the discussion even there defaults to talk of “vehicles” and “craft”. We do not know that these are vehicles or craft. We are projecting our own categories onto an unknown. The UAP phenomenon, like its larger brother the UFO phenomenon, is profoundly equivocal. The gimbal, the tictac, the gofast, all of these are ambiguous enough that we don’t exactly know what we’re looking at. It’s human nature, based on our past experience with other things, to expact that an object appearing blurry and ambiguous because filmed at low resolution or in the distance, is going to appear structured and clear “if only” we could get closer or film at higher resolution. I see this assumption repeated daily all over the internet. But it is not at all clear that this is how the phenomenon actually operates. Unless there really are high resolution, detailed, structured close ups of obviously technological objects being held back by the military (and I obviously can’t speak to something not seen, or which I don’t know to exist yet) what can be said is that all (reliable) images of these things thus far seen are embedded in some kind of ambiguity. We have had many decades of opportunity to photograph something technological and clearly structured at close quarters, but so far anyway, nothing released demonstrates that to be the case. People *experience* such things but when photographs are developed we have a light or a blob. It might be that closer, higher resolution filming might show a clearer outline, but the equivocality is still going to be fully in force. One of the reasons I am skeptical of the current (and previous) “crash retrieval” claims, aside from the assumptions built into it, is that this would be at variance with everything else we have seen of this phenomenon for decades - namely, it shows itself on film only as basic ambiguous shapes, primary forms, etc. That behavior is really pretty consistent. It’s as if this thing requires plausible deniability in order to show itself. This doesn’t have to be extraterrestrial. It can be something associated with life on earth that we don’t understand (my best guess, hopefully an informed guess), and at this juncture, that option is as likely as anything else.
@garyjames4074

Fascinating and timely...especially the focus on not just what is being seen, but what is the pilot/observer reaction internally. With some form of prelude exposure to this enigma the possibility of initial horror and/or confusion and/or self-doubt can be mitigated in a critical way. This applies to the general public as well, I believe. Being kept ignorant and uninformed is dangerous and extremely counterproductive.

Re intuition vs machine learning, the precognitive ability (and IONS research on it) that Dr. Whiteley refers to can't be explained by any known physical process; it's literally the mind extracting information from the future. Timothy Good documented over a thousand passenger planes (from around the world) brought down by flying saucers during the so-called "Shoot on Sight" Army /Airforce vs UFO war between 1952 and 1957. The army was having great success using what was described as a primative but powerful radar system (scalar field energy weapon) to "drop them like flies". The army stopped after a famous actress and her husband (a general or high level politician) was killed when they took off from a military base and they're plane was driven into a mountainside. The president at the time told them to knock it off. After that they were more selective when attacking saucers. There's also a significant number of fighter pilots who lost their lives trying to shoot them down. Richard Dolan interviewed bother researchers who spent years complying the data. One was titled "A kick to the Crotch" another with a retired radar operator was titled "Shoot on Sight" Timothy Good has talked about it on numerous interviews.
