Wow! You guys have come a long way since learning to swim! Hanging out with turtles, seals and even hammerheads! The Galápagos Islands still remain on our bucket list but when we go we will definitely do a self tour like this. The sea lion who walked into the bar looked like he got served a few too many by the end!😂🦭

My family and I are leaving for Galapagos in less than 2 weeks, and this is my second time watching your video series. They are fantastic (and the best I've found among dozens I've watched about this destination)! Thanks for putting all the time and energy into creating them, and I look forward to diving deeper into the rest of your travels! :-)

Thanks for such an insightful video. You are a great speaker and easy to listen to. I especially like the fact that you put the names of places and restaurants in writing so I can take note of the proper spelling. I am living in Ecuador for the winter and have been debating whether to take an expensive yacht or wing it on my own. After seeing your video, I think I will do it on my own. Best of luck in your upcoming videos.

Thank you so much for putting this video together. I am looking to go to the Galapagos next year and at first I was looking at some eco-tours but they are sooooo expensive. They also seem quite unnecessary when I compare to your itinerary and trip which looks amazing. I'm definitely subscribing and look forward to seeing the rest of your videos.

@@LucasWorldTravel Thank you for showing us how it is done. I wrote down the places you both went to and compared it to one of the eco-tours and they do less than you guys did so I'm definitely going the self-planning route. I like how you two break it down. I'll definitely check out more of your vids for further South/Central American travel. Have a great day!

The seals on the beach were so cute! Especially the little baby ones. Snorkeling looked like it would be super fun and you saw some cool fish. The tortoises were huge! The food looked pretty good too. I really liked the price breakdown at the end - very helpful for people budgeting for their own trips there.

A flight stopover is a small price to pay for all the beauty you get to see on the island. Plus it could be a nice break to book an airport hotel to sleep in a real bed before continuing on to the island. Just trying to look on the bright side of things!
