That bus cut-through exists in open street map and looks as it should in the game; however, the allowed access tag was set to "no". A quick update later and now it's set to "designated" with Bus access and Bike access set to "Yes"... As long as the game can use and interpret these tags properly, that routing issue *should* be fixed once the update is uploaded to your game dataset. Edit: emphasis on *should*. I've not played the game before and don't know how these changes affect a game that has already been set up.

I have to disagree with saying small parking spots are all you need. You research buses that use medium spaces very quickly ("Solo" buses), and then it's difficult to change small spots to medium spots. Also, medium spots cover all buses except the buses with the bend in the middle. Even double-decker buses use the medium spots. That makes medium spots useful forever. So, I recommend starting with medium spots from the start.

Being able to import real-world data is really cool, but it does look rather "dry", more like actual work than a game, mostly due to the lack of fancy 3D graphics to let you zoom in and see the fruits of your labor (I love following my trains, trucks and buses around in a game like Transport Fever). That said, it would be fun to download my real-life city to see if I can do better than our transit planners.
