With the tomatoes, I had the same problem - they just die suddenly and it turns out it's from overwatering. Just water them less, every couple of days until they start developing large fruits than can do it more regularily. Tomatoes dislike overwatered soil and straw is very good at maintaining high soil moisture. They are originaly form semi-desert areas of America so fertile and moist soil is novelity for them. Love your videos. Greetings from Poland.

Hey Jon No multi-cropping or alley cropping? Try garlic without the hay cover. Throw in a lot of cow dung or ash from burning dried cow dung.

I love your Buddhist philosophy around gardening...many people would freak out and give up here in America if they don't get everything right. This is not the way the plants grow...I love how you show they have a good relationship with each other and build a community just like humans should. Thank you for your wisdom!

fast success, looking good. I think the straw mulching helps a lot. I would be interested about your irrigation system set-up.

You are in tropics right? Why not plant cassava for staple crops instead of potatoes? Isn't potatoes do best in tempered climate?

Tomatoes like wet feed but dry top. That's what I learned from my dad. And they are ok with a bit dry weather. Don't water them too much. In your video, it looks like a special mold type... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phytophthora_infestans there is not soo much to do about it. What you should do i, burn the dried greens instead of composting it. If you compost it, you will have the mol dover and over again. Also changing the plot of the tomatoes helps a bit.
