What a great movie! Acting was top-notch. My mom was a PROUD member of the ILGWU. She was so proud to be a member of this union. This movie touched a special place in my heart. Thank you.

In addition to fighting for garment workers the union, and other industrial unions, helped the civil rights movement in the 50s and 60s. Provided experience in organizing and provided money. As they grew, civil rights organizations didn’t want to appear to depend on white organizations so ties were ended. Understandable. It’s all one fight against those that would oppress and exploit the poor and the powerless. Something else for the ILGWU and your mother to be proud of.

Great movie. A piece of American History. Across from my dad’s butcher shop in the 50’s in Astoria, NY (Queens) were some garages were converted to a factory with sewing machines. Italian ladies made clothing, paid by the piece. They needed money and were indifferent to unions.

CableTracton Elevators just don't fall. They have speed governors. After dropping one floor the wedge brakes will set stopping the car. Only a sudden cable cutting accident, like the Mitchell Bomber crashing into the Empire State Building and the World Trade Ce ter collapsing cutting the tracton cables. Elevators are an extremely safe form of transportation. Former Elevator Man. TD Atlanta

At the point at which a major garment manufacturer is murdered and then every FRONT PAGE newspaper story for days is one shocker after another you would think there would be SOME cops hanging around SOME where to protect the targets.

@@TrudyPatootie Wire Paladin San Francisco! Watched this religiously with my Dad and older brother in the '50s. When my Dad noted Paladin had no first name, 9-year-old me chimed in that yes he did . . . it said it on his business card, "Wire." My brother laughed so hard he almost fell off the chair . . . and mocked me continually about this forever after. 🤣
