Not only is the delivery of the line "MY WIFE!!!" absolutely perfect, Micheal's entire facial expression and body language down to the absolute extreme subtle details completely change. He goes from being cordial and relatively calm but serious with a fairly blank expression, to you almost being able to see his blood boiling under his skin. The veins in his neck pop out, his forehead tenses, his eyes widen and become more fixated on Matthew, he goes from standing very still to lifting his heels off of the floor and shifting his shoulders around and leaning closer to Matthew like a barely restrained angry dog on a leash, then he starts getting close to Matthew, invading his personal space, picking up the knife and gesturing with it all the while barely holding himself back from just killing him with it. Absolutely INCREDIBLE acting.

@@raymason9907 70% true. Michael had everything under control. He also knew that Dry Eye and Matthew were in cahoots since Phahuc (the guy that tips off the location of the the marijuana place) is Dry Eye's guy and obviously Dry Eye couldn't have known the location without Matthew telling him. He didn't however have any piece of evidence that could confirm this since Phahuc dies before they can extract it out of him. Which is why Ray keeps talking to Fletcher to confirm that Matthew and Dry Eye were in bussiness together. Also, Michael was completely unaware of the ex-KGB thingy which was set into motion by Fletcher. Honestly if Fletcher didn't blurt that he was involved with the Russians to Ray, he would have gotten away with it. But the dude gets clapped in the end. So, no loose ends.

And finally you get the pay off when he confronts the man who's caused all the problems in the movie. Its beautiful how its not the destruction of his business but the threats of harm to his family that do it too. If given the same ultimatum? The buttocks? The thigh? The calf? A pound would need to be a substantial amount of muscle tissue...and where would it be least...visible, as far as the future would hold? Yeesh!...what a scene! Holy Butcher's Block, Batman!

Honestly, I think at that point you just go for one of the hands. You can function decently with one hand, can easily tourniquet off the wrist beforehand to stem the bleeding, and don't have to worry about your walking/running being impeded due to hacking off a chunk of buttocks or leg. Yeah, it's gonna suck long-term, but it'll greatly increase the chances of walking out of there alive.
