WHAT IF? We all like to dream. And luckily, it’s easy to express in German. We’re talking about the subjunctive, a scary thought maybe, but stick around, because it’s easier than you think. If we’re talking about ourselves, we’re going to be using the verb 'würden' mostly to express not what we are doing or did do, but what we would do. It’s those hypothetical situations. Often talked about as a conditional, since we say what we would do if things were different. But for sein, haben and the modals, we need a special form of the subjunctive. Today we find out how.
