Haunted Devon investigate Nuns Cross Farm, Dartmoor.
A farm has existed on the site for hundreds of years. What people don't realise is that the original farm lies in ruins next to the 'new' building. The original occupants children built the new house and encouraged their elderly parents to vacate as life there was harsh.
There are several mines and rabbit warrens nearby. Interestingly, the Devonport leat enters a tunnel not far away and appears to go under the building or at least very close by. By climbing a ladder into the leat you can peer into the tunnels locked gate and see that it bends off towards the farm.
The Haunted Devon team used dowsing rods and found that it does indeed appear to go under a corner of the house.
Prior to filming, smells and voices were heard. The master bedroom had a very dense feel to it although this appeared to dissipate when the main bulk of the team arrived.
During the attempts to contact with the crystals, it appeared that the legend around the farmers wife wondering off to be found dead in Crazy well Pool, were just that a legend. The spirit said that she died peacefully in her sleep.
Although difficult to see, in one of the photographs (which appear to not be found on the internet), the original owner can be seen. However, his wife is also in the photograph, seen sitting beside the front door.
Is it haunted? There is definately something there, but nothing menacing or evil.
