Thanks Roman! To be fair, the audience was actually great and really responsive, but most of it just isn't picked up in the recording for some reason.

I really like this git-backed, serverless design approach. I'm currently trying NetlifyCMS (not the Netlify service), but find it somewhat lacking in features. I mean, the easy to set up UI is the whole point of it (at least for me), so I would have expected that part to be more polished and with better documentation. I hope more projects will take a stab at this in the future. A CRUD wrapper for the git backend (auth is a challenge too I reckon) would make a good sub-project, so that front-end developers could target these basic operations more easily, accelerating development of a ready-made solution.

Just replying to "I hope more projects will take a stab at this in the future" there's another project called TinaCMS that takes a similar approach, but I think you need to pay for their service. My company has built a fully open source solution as well called Plentico that works entirely on it's own. The caveats are that the only backend supported currently is GitLab (there will be more in the future) and it's tightly integrated with our own (open source) SSG that uses Svelte as a templating language. Would love to hear your thoughts if you give it a shot!
