It didn't this is stupid tv garbage. Having some unaware artist make a painting that obviously won't be liked with its extreme expressions, that ain't even fit that time period, artists in the 70's didn't paint using these colors or with so much of this sort of experimental stuff when it's a commission. This is just silly. But all these Black shows are stupid like this, because they make Black people lack so much thoughtfulness

I don't know why this came across my algorithm, but I want to mention something. I am a mystic and have been studying Jewish mysticism for more than 15 years. These wicked people from the motion picture association will show you this picture to summon an evil spirit into your dreams. Another reference is in the second episode of 'She's Gotta Have It' Season 1 Episode 1 or 2, and pictures from the Bird Box movie on Netflix all promote Dark Mysticism which is dangerous. If you are not a person of faith please disregard this message.

I can understand and even appreciate the work that went into the painting, the duality of what the image is supposed to represent. Plus the picture does look cool.... However. Bumpy doesn't strike me as the type of man that would have such an picture of him, just out there. He has an image to uphold considering the type of world he lives in and how others (other mobsters) would perceive him if they ever saw that painting. I'm sure when he paid the guy, it wasn't for his artist expression to that degree. Plus, to just "brass tacks" this, you don't get super abstract with mob bosses. They say paint a portrait of them, you just paint a portrait of them per their specifications, not your own. Dude's lucky Bumpy didn't kill him.

So ... how Bumpy's wife could be surprised he was considered "evil" was ... flabbergasting. Thinking that the mob boss who commissioned the painting wanted to pay for your psychological take on him was ... STUPID. If the artist could only see and produce ONE WORK, he should not have agreed to the commissioned project. He could have done a two part work and just given Bumpy the "Angel" expression and kept the "Demon" expression in hi secret stash (there are so many reasons for such an approach, the least of which would be to increase the value of both works). And, finally, the artist should have been glad that the razor was for the canvas and that he paid the fee: Bumpy got the work and because he'd commissioned the work, was within his right to then destroy that work. The artist was either foolish or arrogant ... maybe both. I mean, to think he could produce such work and then present such work and then, what ... on the strength of his belief ... push this guy he's already labeled a "DEMON" to calmly take that into his home ... ? That's a special kind of stupid ASSUMING he did not specifically TELL Bumpy that his works would highlight the positive AND the negative he thinks he sees in others ... ANYway ... history is rife with stories about artists getting less than positive and life continuing responses to their work. Meh.
