My oldest has ADHD. The hardest decision my husband and I had to make was medicate or not. I read every book our library had on the subject. But not only did we use the pills but the other things. One thing I did find out I couldn’t tell him to clean his room. But I could tell him pick up all the blue items, then red ones then etc. My son is 22 and he thanked me for all we did for him.

My son has ADD/ADHD and could not learn to read without medication. It was the key to his progress to becoming an honor student. His psychologist helped us learn techniques to help him stay organized. He graduated with honors. 💖 It’s not easy and my heart went out to this young family.

I love how Jo nips things in the bud, she's kind, patient, smart but also NOT AFRAID to hand out discipline or tell parents what they are doing wrong and she does it all with tact and grace. With snacks in my house, Fruit and veg was always available and where they could reach it easily. Anything like cookies or candy was put completely away. It worked so wonderfully and kept the kids eating fruits and veggies.
