Okay, I just love how even with Shaun upset - he is still the gentlemen - and opens the car door for Lea.

That soccer player was an idiot. He even ran from the scene after he almost caused an accident.

For real. The ball had already rolled across the street. Just wait, look both ways, then go get it.

What a great scene. Another step in the growth of Shaun and Lea’s bond with each other. She really knew how to communicate with Shaun.

This scene was so great this scene can be very inspiring to people with autism that sometimes people can surpass a difficulty even if they have their struggles.

I have an autistic cousin who is a little more open than Shaun but reminds me of him allot though he's only ten. But the reason I'm commenting on this video is because something JUST hit me, after watching this scene on repeat for weeks now, and this is a very raw thought so please help me finish it: it's not that Lea is able to calm Shaun down and get him to listen to her, but it's that he LETS HER. He doesn't let anyone else open him up like that. And not only that, I think what separates her from everyone else is that he is somehow reciprocating with her, and you can see it in the moments were she might have touched him sometimes before he ACTUALLY goes and reaches out to her, PHYSICALLY. It doesn't matter that he backs away from it, but he is closing the distance between them because SHE does, and if you look closely you'll notice that many others act just like her but don't get half of his attention. Interesting. Where do you think it's coming from? Please reply. I want to hear what you think. Thank you.

Probably because they are both on the Autism Spectrum, or, she knows him very well and knows the right way to approach him and/ or, she is a professional at understanding his needs better!

I always thought it was because she reminds him subconsciously of his brother. Lea and Steve are very much alike. They’re very extroverted and kind, especially to Shaun upon first meeting him Lea was completely accepting of him. She didn’t treat him like he was strange. They were patient with him, but kind of hot headed. They also talked a lot and helped Shaun understand people and got him out of his comfort zones. They are both brunette and kind of small.

Lea understands Shaun so well, I believe, it's why he was heartbroken when she left, at the end of Series 1. The growth in Shaun has been amazing, I like watching this scene, because it shows how much she doesn't just understand him, but she does it because she cares about him too.

Honestly, that was the soccer players fault. He shouldn't have run out into the street like an idiot
