Except for the restaurant parts. There are a few good ones, like the one over the bowling alley, that greek restaurant, and Austria Hoff isn't bad either. But the food in the Village, yuck. Especially Campo. Everything else is awesome in Mammoth though. That's why I've come 5 separate times this season!

I went to mammoth when they got 700in a season in 2017 and my god was it deep. Snowed 4ft the first day I was there. The summit was closed all three days I was there cause of the insane snowfall

Welp -- here we are 4 years later and the snowfall this season has been even _more_ epic. They'll easily break their all-time season total this year. So much snow that in town, there is literally nowhere to put it.

I love living in Mammoth. Its fun in summer too!!!!! 👙👚👕👖🕶 Im a black diamond skiier and only in 6th grade. I remember when i was little, it would be really cold and we couldnt go up to the moutian because i was like 5-6 and my mom would put a fire on and dress me and my sisters in the warmest clothes we have and shove outside and we'd have snowball fights. I remember the snow was so high if you climbed it, you could touch the telephone wires. 🙅🙅💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

Very Tall Man not saying I’m not going snowboarding. But as a trained geologist, this is most definitely not a dormant volcano. There have been times they had to shut down the area because of eqs that might trigger the volcano.

REALLY? You guys did CA for this year? As much as I'm a Western guy living in MT you guys missed out on showing one of the best years the East has seen in years. I just feel it was a little short sighted, but maybe I'm not realizing how far in advance you book these trips. That said I have loved this series and look forward to seeing it every year,

my parents have had a place there since I was a baby I have seen around 15 feet there great place to snowboard probably one of the best in the world and I have been snowboarding in MT,CO,WY,NM,UT etc and some of the resorts in the midwest/eastcoast since I live in north east indiana

I went there last year after having not been to Mammoth in 50 years. What it is now compared to what it was is astounding. Broadway has been totally given over to boarders -- an Olympic-grade half pipe and whoop-dee-do's. 145 trails, 26 lifts, there's something for everyone no matter what they're riding or their skill level. And Mammoth Lakes is not the sleepy town of 800 people that it was when we owned our condo and cabin there in the early 1970s. Dave McCoy wound up building an empire on a mountain nobody said would be good for anything let alone skiing. None of them had the imagination of Dave McCoy.

Great video showcasing a great resort. Heads up: if you continually hold your beer, especially when it's served up in those small glasses, it will warm up quickly and become less palatable. Also, a few lessons for Mr Green Jacket will assist him to actually carve on the corduroy.

What cameras were used in this? I'm looking at a 60d by cannon Would this camera get the quality slow mo and shots?
@natalieward3966

For KZitem, I think it's a great choice. A lot of people use it. OnTheSnow probably use more expensive cameras, but the 60D could get similar shots.

was anyone else terrified by having no bars on the chair lifts?
@SkiDaBird

+2HHB That's somewhat standard for Western areas. At most places, even those with bars, the locals hardly ever use them.
@Hallahanify

+SkiDaBird wow that's shocking I'm surprised their is not a law again at that or they are required by insurance. last year I saw a girl fall off the lift and her mother also fell as she tried to grab her. they were severely inhered

2HHB yes, it is scary. Once I took off my gloves to adjust my jacket, and the wind blew the gloves away, and I never saw them again. For a second I thought I would lose my balance and fall forward. That in fact was the last time I ever snow skied. Cheers!
