The big question is: when do you prompt the user? You can't ask if they are liking it, you can't be sure it will show so you can't have a "rate us" button. So you just prompt them out of the blue?

Just thinking this through, but if it is a game and they have been playing it for multiple days and for 2 or 3 hours, they are, by their actions, already indicating they like the app. I would think that asking a regular user would give you the best reviews. To prevent the farms from easily downvoting you, I'd verify real usage in the game's algorithm, not just how long the app has been running. You might also time it after a "win".

What do you think about other app stores for android like the galaxy store, the Huawei Appstore or the amazon App Store?

Good day, i got an mostly off topic question. I am looking into Java, and has factually invested time to get proficient at Java. However Kotlin seems to be the new shiny one everyone wants? My goal is to build mobile apps in a few months BUT now i wonder. Did I make a mistake learning Java? Must i rather switch to Kotlin? As someone that IS in the industry what is your take on it? Thank you for reading

2 cordova/ionic plugins are implementing this. 1 just did it. The other one has a PR in review.... But the rules are quite strict! 😱

Hi Eric Thanks for all the informative videos you have in your channel. Can you make a video on how to create a team for a app development startup? Thanks

Thanks for info about API. I wonder if this API has any impact on the number of ratings (compared to the standard redirection of the user to the google store). advantage: the user does not have to leave the application and enter google play / it should be more convenient. But as long as this becomes common it will be unusual / new for the user.

It surely has a big impact on the number. One of my apps used to get about 7-8 ratings per day. Since I've implemented this api the number has gone up to 35-40.

I advise you use the pub.dev/packages/in_app_review for flutter, it works on iOS, Android, and even macOS!
