It's not so much having to dump time into it, you just very quickly realize how different it is if you're not a streamer and playing "with" a bunch of people. Goofing around suddenly isn't as fun and trying to build seriously is pretty difficult/daunting, even with unlimited money and whatnot. Suddenly I don't feel nearly as bad for him not knowing how to make roads, shit's super confusing even trying to play it now

Of course it’s not for everyone but if you get into them you can lose yourself in how creative you can be with strategies or the flexibility of game mechanics. Finding crazy shit like building a massive army to take over half the map in ever space 2 takes forever to happen but the payoff feels so rewarding.
