Ezio and Altair were more role models to me as a kid playing these games than actual people in the real world. This final send off, this final parting words… inspired more emotion than anything since, and yet those words inspired hope. Hope that no matter how hard or long the journey may be, staying true to yourself and principles will one day bring about something special. This entire scene grasped my heart and sank into my soul. Ezio finally recognized Desmond had seen everything, had found Altair and saw him as a brother in a cause, no longer a legend and a guide, and these three people connected at long last to one another as two stores concluded, and one reaching it's final act. Requiescat in pace, Altair, Ezio, all Assassins, we will never forget your tale.

This is so sad. I want to tell you something. Many people are mad at the post AC3 story, you know in AC4 etc, that it didn't go anywhere. My theory is that the ending of AC3 was the ending of the entire series, very dark ending, but it was so bad that no one though about it and everyone was expecting another games. The story ended in AC3 but the series was earning so much money that they decided to continue the series without story because let's be honest the post AC3 games are about nothing. All of this is so sad.

@@lurkingblayd3470 The director and creator of the games, as well as some writing staff, fully intended for 3 to be the last one. The series was making so much money that Ubisoft told them to make another one. When they refused, they fired them and replaced them with a crew that would. Thus, how we are where we are now.

@@misteridiot123 The fans. Whenever one formula gets old they switch the game up just enough to make it look new. In the case of the newest one, they have nearly removed all stealth mechanics. Anyway, new fans get interested and it gets buzz. Origins did pretty well. Odyssey sold very well. And, Valhalla was the stinker of the bunch. So, if they finish this arc with the next game. The one after that will have an entirely different formula to give a sparkling new paint job to cover up the Oldsmobile underneath.

The touching emotion about this scene was knowing Ezio realising that he was only just a messenger for a message he knew nothing about. He played his role perfectly, he knew and understood what he had to do even if his role was as little as just being a conduit to deliver a message. Honestly W character

Ive always loved this moment. It always felt like the genuine conclusion to demonds and Ezio’s story. Obviously there’s a whole other assassin to explore before we actually get that subpar conclusion, but I do like that ezio and Desmond after all this time got a moment together. It’s like the mentor and the apprentice speaking but they’re centuries apart.
