I felt bad for her, she doesn't look happy. She is chasing validation & recognition for talents she doesn't have. She just should be grateful & happy she made it with very little talent & be happy. Her ego is never satisfied.

I certainly agree that JLo hustled her way into superstardom. She made a lot out of very little.

It was incredible to see how the hot garbage sausage that is This is Me Now was made. The mass of her ego is truly astounding, I felt myself cringing so hard during both films. The lack of self awareness is fascinating. I wish I had an ounce of that confidence. The funniest part to me was seeing how there were actually people around her telling her that this might not be the best move but she was not listening to anyone.

Just wanted to mention, JLo said she was never beaten up by the men, but she was hit. It's frustrating how everyone keeps interpreting her words as if there as no physical abuse, when it's clear there was.
@emakoo01
6 ай бұрын
She said she was pushed or shoved but that was not the point she was making. She was saying that many forms of domestic abuse (emotional, financial, verbal) are not seen by others as easily as a black eye

@@emakoo01I was referring to the fact that the media reporting about it claimed she said she wasn't physically abused, when that is clearly not what she said. It's like they're trying to protect the men.

After your review last week I wasn’t sure if you would review the doc! Glad you did. Jennifer Lopez fascinates me. I don’t understand why so many people hate her. She’s not the best singer but she is an amazing entertainer. I’ve seen her live twice and she blew me away. Like Jane Fonda, im not sure if it’s a good idea to put this all out there but I’m rooting for her and Ben!

Let me preface this by saying that l have followed Jennifer’s career since the beginning. I think she’s a great entertainer! I loved Ben and Jen the first time and was happy that they got a second chance, BUT sharing a private book of letters from Ben, definitely crossed the line! Hearing Ben say that he has to go with it really upset me! Now, you’re not private? I’m rooting for them, but at the same time, l’m not hopeful.

I think this documentary really humanize “jlo” the pop star, the diva that people picture her to be. I saw a hard working woman who believes in themselves and at the same time so vulnerable. Do you think this is why she finally got the love from critics? She got no love from critics in 2000s but after she produced her own movies. They started liking her. Even in Rom Com like Marry Me. It has a positive review as well
