Guess Who had a lot of hits, mostly early 70s, including this song. They were well known and got lots of radio play. But they were popular at the same time as several super groups (LZ, Stones, The Who). So the Guess Who is kinda hidden from an historical perspective. Also, Guess Who never made it into the US rock hall of fame. They deserve the honor but haven't made it yet

After years of making records that were local hits, the Guess Who achieved worldwide mainstream success with the release of These Eyes in early '69. It's not a cover, Biz, it was written by rock superstars Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman (Bachman Turner Overdrive). They followed this one with a string of hits, including in no order, "Laughing", "Share the Land", "Hand Me Down World", "Rain Dance", "No Time", "Clap for the Wolfman", "Dancin' Fool."

One of my favorite songs of theirs. And right on, a Motown vibe for sure. The whole Arrangement is fantastic and the performance is perfect and wow his singing on this, and then there is just key change after key change after key change and he just keeps nailing it and each time he gets a little more berserk with it, laugh.

That's funny. Your background image has the current, so-called Guess Who pictured. That's why four of the five look far younger than the fifth guy, Gary Peterson. Any of the original band members could have kept touring under the band's name but the song writing duo responsible for almost all of the band's hits - Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman - are so famous (and had successful careers after) that they still choose not to do so. It's very sad to see the Guess Who having morphed into a weird sort of cover band of the Guess Who!
