Can you remember the entire saying for that? They used to say that about a year before it left the air.

What I enjoy most about the soap operas from the 1950s through the 1970s is the closeness of family. It was common for members to regularly chat over a cup of coffee and to offer support and loyalty. Papa Bauer and other senior citizens on other soap operas were honored for their wisdom and given their rightful place as head of the family.

The music in the operating room scene was appropriately eerie and suspenseful.

Wow. Five months before I was born. Started watching GL in 1977. Just wish all the episodes from 1970-1977 still existed. 🤔🤔❤️❤️

If you do a tri-split screen of Bert, (Miss Charita Bauer), Michael (Don Stewart) and especially Ed, (Mart Hulswit), you will see an eerie resemblance. They look as if they were actually mother and sons. Amazing casting.

One of the big mistakes GLmade was writing Hope out in 1983 and never bringing her back all the time Alan-Michael was on the canvas. It was incredulous that she didn't come back for Bert's funeral or any of A-M's weddings. Loved seeing Bert here regretting her old judgmental ways and transitioning into the strong, supportive matriarch she was beloved for being.

I hate those commercials. They want you to take them but list a whole bunch of side effects before you do. Russian Roulette much?

I bought some expensive stuff called Gobbler for my toilet and it didn't work. I then used some Comet cleanser, and a toilet brush, and the clog cleared. Comet is the original Green Gobbler. Sometimes the Old School is best.

Why does the organ music at the end makes you feel like you're in a Roller skating rink?

It's a waltz in the key of F major. Maybe the producers wanted something lighthearted during the closing credits.

I looked it up and she was born in 1948. That means she was already either 24 or 25 playing Greg Bradys cheer leader girlfriend in 1973. Which if I'm right makes her six years older than Barry Williams.

@@sheriheffner2098 I remember that Brady Bunch episode. It was called "Click", because Greg was photographing her doing cheerleading moves.
