What I do love about the Orphan is how much there is just no gimmicky shit with it. It doesn't have any exceptionally BS attack that you need to learn some particular trick to handle, he's just really fast and really strong, with a large array of moves that require different responses, making it hard to react quick enough to his actions. He never felt unbeatable or unfair like Malenia sometimes did early on, there's just very little room for error. I don't remember ever feeling like I didn't understand why I died or what to do about it, it was just about getting to the point where I could do it.

@@pillow_ben6799 For the build I was running at least, I basically just had to pray I wasn’t too close to her when she used waterfowl dance. @@pillow_ben6799 My genuine advice for Malenia is to just look up how to dodge waterfowl. Everything else can be dodged pretty intuitively (imo at least) but waterfowl is just incomprehensible bullshit that can only be dodged in a specific and pretty unintuitive way. Just watch a method on KZitem or something, it isn't worth the pain of trying to figure it out yourself.

Ptumerian Elder was the boss that killed me the most in the entire Souls series. As an autistic fool I loved the Chalices, and dove deep into a depth 5 FRC Ptumerian Elder on my first charaxter who I never levelled above 100. I can actually say how many times I died; I didn't lose track. 515. Yeah. I think my Sisyphus pre patch where he was unparryable was a similar amount of deaths but it was less time taken than Elder since Bloodborne doesn't let you go straight back in after every death.

Post Mortem: you needed 50 vitality, the Lake 3% and Great Lake 4% and clockwise metamorphosis 10% runes to increase your defense and you needed to spec your armor for max physical and blunt damage resists. my top 5 hardest bosses: 1. Absolute Radiance, Hollow knight 2. Malenia, Elden Ring 3. Ludwig, Bloodborne 4. The god damn dragon fight in cuphead (Standard difficulty) 5. Sans, Undertale I’m taking sisyphus prime on normal mode, the intended first experience for players, as the souls games have no difficuly options, so thats why yellow man isnt on the list
@DumpsterManTV
Жыл бұрын
As you can tell from the video I definitely found Ludwig quite hard, but once I got phase 1 down, phase 2 was relatively simple to learn, so I didn't find him as hard as the Orphan overall. Malenia is sort of a similar deal, I found her moveset pretty intuitive outside of waterfowl, so by far the biggest source of difficulty for me was just learning waterfowl, that said I'd put her on a similar tier to Orphan. It's just easier to get overpowered in Elden Ring than in Bloodborne, and while she probably took me ~200 attempts as well, they were faster due to her speed and the lack of runback, and one of my sessions of attempts was done *very* drunk and trying to learn how to parry her, which goes without saying, was a very bad idea, and I almost don't consider those to be real attempts at all LOL

@@DumpsterManTV Depends on how much of your echoes you lost during your playthrough. Bloodborne is balanced around you *never* losing your echoes even a single time. If you lose a decent size chunk of echoes more than, say, 5 times, then you have put yourself in a horribly underleveled position for the DLC content.

@@DumpsterManTV it can depend a lot on how you have been playing the game. For most players, if they found Orphan easy they probably found Laurence to be difficult. I mostly agree, there are some aspects of phase 2 I don't love, like many of the melee attacks look similar but need to be dodged in specific ways, and the AOE bombs sometimes feel like they just hit you and there isn't much you can do. But the fight overall is fair and one of the better ones in the game, just tough as shit.
