Here in Canada, it is -12 C with 10-20 cm snow. I was not going to go run in this kind of conditions until I saw your video. Now I want to go run a mile outside. Thank you for the inspiration!

Brutal 💪! Your toes must have done a happy dance when you got back into the warmth of your house. By the way: 4:34 for a mile on the track? Hats off to that. I need my bicycle to experience that kind of speed.

One of the most intense (and most fun) interval session I ever did, was in Finland during winter. I had a loop that was 200m on a path, then 200m through a snow covered field. I ran an easy pace on the path section, and just tried to maintain the same speed it in the deep snow. One of the most difficult things I've ever done, snow is brutal.

Just got a bunch of snow and a couple snow days from school and they've been slow to clear the sidewalks, so I ran in deep snow too. It's pretty fun. Though I only did 9 minutes as my watch wanted to check my ability before starting a training plan. Then it was about 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Today it's -8 degrees Fahrenheit. No idea what that is celsius, but definitely cold!

Fairbanks, Alaska here… thanks for the inspiration and challenge.. a couple of us did the mile and gave it our best today…temps around -20C and the snow depth between 53-66cm well over our knees some areas to mid thigh.. times ranged between 43 and 1:07. We mostly had to walk! But it was a great killer workout!

Did the sweat get cold or did the snow smelt through the shoe? It has helped me to get too big shoes and use 2-3 layers of socks in them: the first layer transfers the sweat away and the second is the heating layer (thick wool) third socks are used if you use "normal" sneaker and not gore-tex or such. Therefore the third sock layer is waterproof. Hopefully, next time, your toes do not get so cold. Awesome video as always!
