Cracking video Al, and what a fantastic piece of fortune to capture the Flying Scotsman going across the Ribble Viaduct. Great work! Looking forward to pt 2 👍🏻

Don’t know what you were running, but Yorkshire three peaks is not a 70km ultra. It’s a 38km loop with around 1450m elevation, hitting Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Inglesborough, with additional checkpoints at Ribblehead and The Old Hill Inn. There’s a 90km ultra called the fellsman along the similar route, but that doesn’t look like what you were doing.

This was the Ranger Ultras - Yorkshire Three Peaks Ultra. It’s an annual event and a lot of fun!

Great video, I've done Whernside and Ingleborough from Ribblehead so many times for ultra training, Its a great 13-14 mile route. I would say 90% of them Whernside has been mist covered and a few with hail. it does seem always seem like one of them hills. If you're looking for another challenge, try the Lakeland Trail 100. its starts at midnight in Ambleside and is absolutely amazing.

Thanks Steve! I actually did the Lakeland Trail many years ago! I think it was 110k back then. Completed it with minutes to spare against a 24 hour cut off, that was some adventure! Maybe it’s time I did it again!

Great video and shall look forward to part 2! I was out there doing the race too and had a great time, after pairing up with someone I met on a previous Ranger Ultras race. Ingleborough really is savage, especially as your legs have a decent bit of climbing and descending in already by then! 😳

It always the descents that get you! They can be harder than the climbs depending on the ground conditions. Huge well done Hannah!

It's fun observing people's different reactions to your infectious, high-energy good cheer. Most people seem to get a kick out of it, but I don't doubt you'll cause the occasional runner to PB as they try to escape.

Haha, so I’m responsible for their PBs? Get in! Genuinely though, it’s a really good point to make. Most people dig it but there a few that don’t and I totally get that. Not everyone wants a camera in their face after all!
