Thank you. I have been doing fasting and then keto on and off for many years but always falling off the wagon and since ME/CFS I’ve been finding it even harder. And yes stressful. Prior to this I used to eat 6 protein based meals a day and this was probably when I was at my best come to think of it. Your video is so helpful. Thank you so much. I’ve been having the urge to follow my gut, I can feel it craving certain foods and eat more regularly and you’ve just confirmed it. Great video!

Eating protein every two hours has been a game changer! Before becoming ill, I ate often to sustain energy during exercise. But when one is ill and "So fatigued" it is easy to slip into a poor eating regimen. Toby reminded me how important a proper diet is and how it helps with recovery! Thanks Toby!!! Recovery is possible!!

I did something stupid last week. Lunchtime got delayed and I should have eaten before we went out for lunch. Even after eating I felt awful for the rest of the day. I also had been avoiding certain foods because of slightly raised cholesterol. I suddenly realised I actually eat quite healthily normally and decided no more dieting and crazily cutting out other things. Back on my normal diet and I have felt better.

I have an autoimmune disease and have been in groups and they always talk about eating keto or paleo or carnivore and recently i realised this was creating more stress than anything else. I realised that it’s my nervous systems hyper vigilance that I need to focus on. That’s how I found you. I’ve struggled with chronic fatigue since childhood I think . Now I’m trying to be compassionate to myself and not focusing on symptoms.

Thank you for this information! What to eat to get better is one of my ”traps”. I followed a strict diet for a while and I just felt more stressed. I struggle with my ”food-thoughts”….I’m going to take this video with me! If you have more tips concerning nutrition…let us know! Now I really try to eat everything in a balanced way….eating healty is not my problem….eating without getting worried if the food affects my health is more of a dilemma for me.

The stress of “dieting” or perfection eating habits can be counterproductive and the stress can impact the absorption of the healthy food. Stressing over food is a whole other conversation. But awareness is key as your first step in loosening the grip 😊

I have the same problem. I took holistic nutrition courses and then from going to naturopaths a day learning more.online about how everything is toxic ( including plants) and then having weightloss goals, IBS and blood sugar issues, I am always anxious about food on some level.

Thank you, you are so right. For a long time, my nervous system got worried every time I left my apartment for more than an hour. I ate a nurturing meal before leaving and took some nuts and water with me - just in case. You never know when you get the next meal...

I eat what I like eating be it mangoes or twisties and don't eat what I don't like eating regardless of how healthy it's meant to be. Your body knows what is good for it. If it doesn't like oats or cabbage for example then don't eat them. Eat what you want when you want and trust that your body will find it natural balance. As Toby sometimes says, loosen the grip.
