Playing an instrument can absolutely be meditative. Get yourself a keyboard or acoustic guitar and just doodle around with one idea like this for an hour, and it feels really good.

Each one of these chords evoke a particular emotional feeling. The Bb/F is very solemn sounding. Very much a Gospel/Contemporary Christian vibe. The Bb min/F is more challenging. I bit mysterious. The C7/F has a JS Bach/Catholic Church kinda vibe. It is fun experimenting with slash chords like this!!

Changing chord from F maj to any of those other chords you played is not playing the one chord for a sustained length of time and in fact may be directly contrary to the intention of the composer.

C7(13)/F I was told that the 4th shouldn’t be played in a V7 chord because that’s where you’re resolving to, but honestly, it sounds pretty great. Another testament to ears over paper.
