Long wings like Pascal Siakim are invaluable. Miami should try to get one. Point guards/primary ball handlers who can find their own bucket fall in the same category. Nobody is going to trade a star for Herro. Sure he is a top 50 player. BFD. He might get them a couple firsts. Simon's in Portland is the same as are a number of other offense only zero defense players.
@PeteringYT
Ай бұрын
Herro is not a top 50 player. No other team would give Herro the green light the Heat do. It's only because of the massive amount of injuries and the fact that Bam is not a scorer that Herro can afford to chuck 20+ shots per game. He is an injury prone shooter with no inside game which teams target on defense. There is a reason Herro is on the trade block every season and no one picks him up.
@kevinmarrero5013

I have been a Herro apologist but he isn’t progressing on offense and he can’t cover average players…. When he gets the Horford switch he can’t score on him…. More frustrating, Bam can’t score on his “mismatch” either. He was getting stopped by Holiday, Brown, and even Lowry in the 1st playo-in game…. Sorry can’t have those two max contracts next to old Jimmy playing 50 games….

1. It’s a power move to record the Heat video before they’re actually eliminated. 2. The Heat totally want to make a big move, probably dealing Herro and Jovic for someone. this heat team won more regular season games than both last season and 2021, and were much more injured than either of those years. to say "they had no chance to win the series no matter what" is stupid. sure maybe they could get better and make some trades, but the assumptions you're making are just not based in enough data at this point. with an entire offseason to work on young player development and time to further incorporate and gel Rozier into the system, i don't see why they can't be a contender once again with the exact same roster as long as they're healthier. also they have the 15th overall pick and can either package that to trade for someone or draft a player and we all know how good they are at drafting.

But I think eventually I think they are going to have to rebuild and tank for a few seasons that way they can eventually get back to being a top contender in the eastern conference. Because there are teams in the East that are on the rise like the Knicks Magic Pacers. Sixers aren’t going anywhere the Bucks could get their shit together and then they’re the Celtics.
